NFA Liability Insurance

You must be an NFA member to purchase insurance through the NFA.
Annual Premium $9.95 per person. For details read this.
Insurance Duration: 1 year.
Members cannot purchase multiple insurances to run for consecutive years, members must renew liability insurance annually.
Have you ever seen accident rates so low for any organization?

That's because responsible gun owners are not a bad risk...
And I would suggest that when you make statements of fact, that you include proof with links instead of rambling on like an old fool!!

Perhaps but then I simply follow the style that most posters here follow. i.e.. Because you follow the rules, you assume everyone who owns a gun does. They sure as hell don't.

Instead of arguing if they do or don't, lets focus on your claim that they don't...At what point are you prepared to say they do?

Obviously, if there were a billion firearms owners, and 1 doesn't follow the rules, it would be dishonest for you to say what you are saying. So, tell me, where do you draw the line? When do the tragic stories become as acceptable as other tragic stories such as swimming pool drownings?

And yet, you seem to think that if we ban guns, everyone WILL follow that rule.

See an inconsistency there at all?

Armed citizen kills son allegedly attacking mother with knife

On March 22, a son allegedly stabbing his mother with a knife at an intersection in Phoenix, Arizona, was shot and killed by an armed citizen.

According to ABC 15, a mother and her 28-year-old son got in an argument “in a vehicle near 51st Avenue and Cactus Road.” The son then allegedly began stabbing his mother until she “fell out of the vehicle.”

Even then, the son reportedly continued stabbing while bystanders ran to her aid and tried to stop him.

One of the witnesses eventually pulled out a gun and commanded the son to stop. When the man ignored the commands, the armed citizen shot and killed him.

According to AZ Family, Phoenix police say the mother was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The citizen who shot and killed the son “was not detained by police.”

The argument that guns are "designed to kill" doesn't work either because 1.) intent matters more than design, and 2.) the purpose of objects can be re-defined. Many rifles that were originally made for warfare are nowadays obsolete and used only for recreational or sports shooting of paper targets, or for hunting.

Look folks, this Saturday's news in this small area, reports 7 spring breakers shot, one drive by shooting, one pregnant woman abducted by a taxi driver by gun and one shooting in a what in Quebec would be called a depanneur, but in the US is known as a corner store, as well as a few other gun shootings. In all 10!!

Any place in Canada report even one or two shootings this Saturday morning??

When they keep the guns locked away from children, when they do not use a gun to win an argument (like the guy who shot his son over a glass of orange juice this am).
When children still in high school cannot acquire a gun to take to school with them (like the two boys who brought a pistol and the other a beebee gun to school on the same day unbeknown to the other, (both of whom were herded off to jail), when people do not go for a drive with a loaded gun beside them on the car seat. Need I go on?? All these things have happened in the past couple of weeks and these are not altogether rare events.

Now how bad does it need to get before you let go of the idea it would be good for Canadians to live like this??

Why is intent more important than design. If one does not intend to shoot oneself in the foot or another person in the head, it matters not what the design is. Dead is dead whether by intent or accidentally. The design to to fire a projectile. Obsolete or not it can still kill, main or injure. That was it's original design, whether the target is a person, animal or paper target.

No car, or swimming pool was designed for those purposes.

I get it. You are saying that so long as there is fecal matter in the milk, you are drinking the kool aid instead.

I thought that I have been very clear about the fact that Canadians never lived like this back before we had gun control laws.

There are many ways to explain this. I'll offer two.

1 - The difference between a criminal packing a S&W, a police officer packing a S&W, and a citizen packing a S&W is not the design of the S&W, it is the intent of the owner.

2 - There are estimates of over 330 million firearms in the USA, enough for almost every man, woman, and child to be accidentally or intentionally be shot.

It is vanity, and ignorance for you to claim their continued existence is some sort of manufacturer's defect in the design of the firearm.

No car, or swimming pool was designed for those purposes.
You must be outraged at the number of swimming pool drownings, it is higher than gun deaths.
