Perhaps with mule deer but white tail is a different game.

Same with elk. They are called "the spirit of the forest" for nothing.

Ah, but I got that soft-walkin' Indun mojo goin'. It is the way. . . OF MY PEOPLE!

Got me a semiautomatic assault bow that can rip off 30 arrows in the blink of an eye, too.

Where is the PB to go with the jam? Finding a jam would be like finding the dead bulb in a string of Xmas lights.

http://Why Doctors Are More Dangerous Than Guns

A popular message circulating the internet claims that "guns don't kill people, doctors do," based on statistics that theoretically show that doctors are responsible for more accidental deaths every year than firearms.

Like many urban legends that cross the internet, it has a lot of "facts" for its readers, but it is unlike most urban legends in that it quotes a source: "Statistics provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services." The message was even recounted in an article by Nathan Tabor. The letter claims that:

-- There are 700,000 physicians in the United States.
-- There are 120,000 accidental deaths in the United States caused by physicians every year, and the accidental death percentage per physician is 0.171.
-- There are 80 million gun owners in the United States.
-- There are 1,500 accidental deaths from guns every year, regardless of age group, and the accidental death percentage per gun owner is 0.0000188.

This means, the letter points out, that doctors are 9,000 times more deadly than gun owners.

Any gun that smells like a$$ should get banned
;)
... and maybe if it's really smelly, it should be showered, and then banned.

The issue is complex and reducing to a binary solution is not helpful.

There needs to be thoughtful consideration given to solutions

When I was a youngster and only went small game hunting with a .22 bolt action,
I asked my Dad after he came back from a successful moose hunt.
"How many shots did it take?"
He looked at me and said "There was only one moose"

Well, that leaves you out of the conversation then.

I always hunted with a bolt action rifle, usually a .270. I used to good-naturedly tease some friends about how needing a semi-auto for hunting just meant you needed more practice on the shooting range. But by the same token I had a really good friend who was a bow hunter. He used to say to me, "The only way to truly experience the thrill of the hunt and test your skills is to use a bow."

In Canada, they seize legally purchased and held guns the state decides are evil, and they do not pay compensation.

That is outrageous, as the right to your property seems to me to be basic in a free country.

In some instances it's not even guns they deem to be evil, but accessories. And it's not even "the state" that makes this decision.

If you own a Ruger 10/22 (which almost every rural resident West of the Manitoba border does), and you own or possess magazines which can hold more than 10 rounds which you legally purchased, you are now technically a criminal as of July 21, 2016. these are now considered prohibited devices as has been reinterpreted by an RCMP memo.

RCMP REINTERPRETS MAGAZINE REGULATION – RUGER 10/22

Crap like this is nothing more than an incredible abuse of power by RCMP. These matters need to be determined and confined within written legislation, not subjective re-interpretation by some RCMP administration bureaucrat.
