Democratic U.S. Senator Alex Padilla was shoved out of a room, forced to the ground and handcuffed by security after attempting to ask a question at a Thursday press conference by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

"I am Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary," Padilla said during the press conference where Noem was discussing protests in Los Angeles over President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.
A video posted online showed three agents pushing Padilla to the ground and handcuffing his hands behind his back. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm the authenticity of the video.

The video I saw didn’t make him look so innocent.

I never said he was innocent or guilty of anything, but I did state he was a US Senator.
Apparently it's not cool to barge into a presser. Who knew?
Lesson for all Senators then I guess. I thought members of congress, senators, etc…were some protected class? Constitutionally protected I mean. I don’t pretend to know more about the US system that I do and maybe that’s just an assumption on my part.

Why would a Senator or Congressman be able to barge into a live presser without being invited?

According the interwebs its the White House Press Office and the Secret Service who decide who gets let in. I doubt HLS knew who the hell came barging in during a live broadcast.

What stopped him from booking a presser? Nobody giving a shit?

Libtards should know their whole "very mindful, very demure" shtick before going off during a presser. It lacks decorum.

The article you referenced made him sound almost angelic
