What do you think the Conservative party has become? A "West Bloc" party that only cares about the west. To deny it would be ignorant.

I'll deny that! In a Heartbeat! I happen to neither ignorant or stupid.

The Reform Party started out that way, but became a truly Federal Party, became the
Conservative Party, catering to all of Canada (= where the votes are thickest which in
the West means Vancouver, and the West is a bit bigger than Vancouver) at the expense
of the West. The Conservatives are now that Ontario-Quebec-Vancouver Party. To
stay in power, the trick is to cater to where the votes are thick and Bob's your Uncle.

The Conservatives are no more of a "West" party than the Greens or Liberals or NDP
or Bloc....and perhaps less so than the others 'cuz we don't have to be bought each
election. We just want to be left alone. If a Party promises the least in tax expenditures
and a half-promise to just stay out of our business.....it'll take the vote in the west.
The Liberals & NDP haven't figured this out lately, so that's why the West is a sea of blue.

Only one opinion poll counts.....

An election.

Let's have one.

We just had an election, and not too long before that there was a previous election. Harper called the last election early and that cost the tax payers about a hundred and fifty million dollars. Now you and Harper want another one. People get sick and tired of elections and that is why the voter turnout in the last election was so poor. It will be good for the country to let the coalition govern and Harper would just fade back into where ever he came from. Maybe the conservatives will pick a decent leader next time round.

Hither and yon
Lets see,

NDP signs firebombed in British Columbia:
Ottawa rhetoric likely incited sign burning, B.C. MP says

Jacques Parizeau (for those of you who don't know Mr.Parizeau is one of the Fathers of the separatist movement)says the coalition is a great thing for the separatist cause:
Parizeau delighted Bloc joining coalition - Posted

Pauline Marois Official leader of the Party Quebecois says that Gilles Duceppe and the BQ are doing a good job for the separatist movement in Quebec.
She also says the Mr.Duceppe has already obtained one billion dollars over and above all other Federal funds promised to Quebec:
Quebec Could See Extra $1 Billion in Transfer Payments Under Coalition Government - Digital Journal: Your News Network

Anybody else think that this is not going to go well for Confederation?

"Now, what was so offensive in the update? As I see it, only one thing was offensive......removal of the right to strike is always offensive.......Otherwise?"- I mostly agree with you Colpy, but striking during a recession is not only stupid but detrimental IMHO.

Scratch, I'm a member for several polls....and in the last week I received ONE poll to
answer....and that was about my choice of beverages (???). That's a little weird at this
time. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I do find that a little weird in that I normally do
2-3 (sometimes more) polls each week.

Good day to all,
Harper's days are numbered as well the days of the Cons in general are dwindling.
Harper will pay for his thugury, the coalition is the new brand of politics in Canada thanks to Harpocon……..
Quebec voters have realized today that Harper is a trader…

Harper started the unity bull **** and it will come back to hurt the Cons in Quebec.
The Cons stand for division, thugary, hypocrisy, bigotry, cheating, lying, undemocratic, fascist f pigs, I can’t wait until the end of January to see the cheating Con thugs ousted form the top job… Rats go away you are not good for Canada.
Harper is on record the f hypocrite trying to cut a deal with the block to overthrow Martin…….. Harper will mach Mulruney for the most hated scum bag in Ottawa.

Admit it, everyone likes Harper.

Kreskin Harper's days are numbered, he is a cowered he started the fight and asked the GG to finish it. She is smart to grant him prorogation of parliament. She knows and probably she warned the scum bag that come January there will not be any other grace for the Cons, the Coalition is reedy to bring the Cons down come January. Who like Harper?, the Con bunch are having second thought about the scum bag........
