Talking Heads (the At Issue panel) on the CBC National were unanimous..........the coalition is dead. Liberal supporters, and now Liberal MPs, are abandoning the idea in droves.

Seriously Colpy, thats ridiculous to know let alone quote. No one will know till January.

Even if there is no coalition Harper will still be knocked out. The coalition will still exist on paper so the GG will still be elligible to offer the seat to the Liberals.

Technically she can offer it to the liberals without them holding a coalition I should remind you. As long as the Liberals don't offend the other parties with their bills it won't matter.

One CAN rule as a minority, as even with the NDP coalition the liberals will have a minority as the bloc are not part of the coalition.

The Conservatives are dead in the water unless they form their own Coalition. If they hadn't have pissed on the bloc they could have gone back to their tried and true allies,

or have you forgotten the amount of pandering to Quebec Harper has done and why?

The coalition is dead.

What I love about this country is that we are allowed to disagree. People have different ideas in Canada thus should work together and share their ideas rather than shove them down each others throats.

No, Canadians as a whole didn't vote for the things you said, Canadians as a whole elected a government that was supposed to cooperate with the opposition, that's why they chose a minority. That is the real mandate Canadians gave all 308 MPs when they voted for their local MP(not a Prime Minister)on October 14th. Canadians clearly indicated that they wanted the 4 parties to put their heads together to battle the economic crisis.

So far, I have seen 3 parties fulfilling their mandate and last that I checked, the Tories are not one of them..

The following parliament configurations are possible:

-4 paties working together
-3 parties working together
-2 parties working together
-Each party refuses to work with the others - POLITICAL DEADLOCK-

As long as I see one of the first 3 on the list happen, I'll know that the manadate Canadians gave to their MPs will be fulfilled.

I guess we'll have to leave it at that, we seem to be at a stalemate, you think what you think, I think what I think. We both are convinced we are right and think the other is wrong. I guess that we are no better than the politicians in Ottawa. I guess our parliamentary crisis directly reflects the disagreements that Canadians have amongst themselves.

Most of us will cool off the debating for the holidays and enjoy them, I know I will. However, I'm very anxious to see what will play out in January. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hither and yon
You have been nastier to me then I have to you. I did not come on this site to pick back yard bully fights with you.
I have the rite to a defensive rebuttal if some one like D.D IS PICKING ON ME AND BEING A CONSTANT AGITATOR DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?

YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ME NOT TO DEFEND MY SELF. THIS IS NOT ABOUT POWER TRIPPING IT IS ABOUT ALLOWING ALL MEMBERS TO INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER, EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE SEEN TEMPERS RISE FOR EVERY ONE AT TIMES ON A FRIENDLY PLATFORM.

YOU ARE TALKING TO ME AS IF YOU ARE TALKING TO A KID,
I DO NOT COME HERE TO AGITATE PEOPLE, I COME HERE TO DEBATE ISSUES OF THE DAY WITH ALL FORUM MEMBERS. I AM NOT A KID AND DON’T POWER TRIP WITH ME. :angryfire:

You don't debate anything.

You foam at the mouth.
