Why hasn't it warmed in the K2 mine? It hasn't budged from 26C in 55 years. It's only 1200m deep. Where is the global warming?

Ñooooooooooo I'm saying 2000m deep in the ocean is 2km away from being a "surface temperature" as is 1200m below the earth is not a surface temperature.

That sounds reasonable to me - back in the days before science I believe we were taught that the earth's temperature increased by 1 degree F for every 500' we dug down.
