February 2015 coldest in 115 years | CTV Ottawa News

Must be all that warming....the temperature is hiding in the ocean......lol

of course, Colpy... you need to be careful here. Last time you ventured forward you blew up good, you blew up real good. Imagine, a guy like you Colpy... so blowhardy and blustering... and it came to light that you actually thought ocean temperature was reflected within the global surface temperature record. Would you like me to quote a few past posts of yours in that regard, hey Colpy?

2000m deep ain't a "surface temperature".

Thanks for the citation.

Why hasn't it warmed in the K2 mine? It hasn't budged from 26C in 55 years. It's only 1200m deep. Where is the global warming?

So, you're claiming that because there's a geothermal gradient, global warming is crap? Again--not making any sense. What's the rgadient? 1 deg? 3 deg? You're just throwing around all these numbers.

Ñooooooooooo I'm saying 2000m deep in the ocean is 2km away from being a "surface temperature" as is 1200m below the earth is not a surface temperature.

I've made a booboo.

It's actually 3C per 100m.

That sounds reasonable to me - back in the days before science I believe we were taught that the earth's temperature increased by 1 degree F for every 500' we dug down.
