of course, the stupidity reigns supreme when one recognizes the doofus Rethuglican thought he could do a gotcha over the number of landfall hurricanes hitting the U.S.... cause, clearly... if a hurricane doesn't hit landfall... it doesn't exist!!! :mrgreen: And the other gem was an attempt to leverage the supposed IPCC position on droughts relative to soil moisture. Now I know there's real expertise here with a resident "farm labourer" (soil toiler)... the guy refers to himself as an "earth scientist" no less... but the actual IPCC position is one a tad nuanced... as in regional impacts versus an overall global position... notwithstanding whether a prediction or past review of observations is being considered. So, ya ya... it's very shocking to see such a partisan political maneuver at play! Shocking!!!
