No....because the Old Testament is basically merely history. The theology of Christianity comes from the arrival of Christ as described in the New Testament.....thus the name Christianity.

The Koran clearly encourages Jihad and the slaughter of non-believers....thus murderous idiots can logically claim to represent Islam.
The New Testament emphasises forgiveness, choice, and tolerance as illustrated in the "let he who has not sinned cast the first stone"........thus anyone murdering and claiming Christian justification....is WAY off-base.

This line specifically gives permission to kill if attacked.... Not kill mercilessly with no reason, you need to read further back, you conveniently left much of it out ....
You also need to put it in historical context; here's a quote from a Islamic scholar regarding this verse ..
