GB News could kill off the woke MSM

Maybe we should be thinking in terms of what’s best for Canadians instead of what’s best for my party. Radical idea , eh ?
I have kids in their mid thirties, they’ve got brains and good jobs can’t seem to make that nut to get into the housing market. I’ve got enough to fund a pleasant retirement for myself but not enough to be of significant help to them until I go under the grass. I don’t hear anything from O’Toole or Trudeau that’s going to help them or the thousands upon thousands out there just like them. It’s looking like we’re heading for an inheritance based economy.

Party politics have been a problem since confederation. Worse at the municipal level. The housing problem has been largely manufactured by the very people that we depend on to fix it. Ain't that a pisser?
Our problem is people from the cities selling their houses for a million + , move out here and think paying $600 or so for a $200000 house is a deal, raising prices to levels that our kids cannot afford on the jobs available here. Then to add insult to injury they want to bring all kinds of laws with them and dictate how we are to live so as to not disturb their rural retirement.

And can you tell me where and/or when a Republican has "cancelled" someone from speaking out? They may challenge it what was said, but you don't see them scrubbing tweets or comments on FB "my friend!!" The name calling, unfortunately, is more from the Left - who is calling all whites supremist? Who is calling racist at every turn? Who is it that wants to separate blacks from whites as some colleges have opted to do? All of this isn't the Republicans, that's for sure.
Having said that, you are correct that the suppression of opinions and ideas and name calling must cease!!

You have a point, you do hear the left hollering racist and supremicist more often because these are traits predominant at the far right. On the other hand, you don't hear the left shouting communist and socialist all the time, do you ?

GB News starts at 8pm tonight. It will be Channel 236 on Freeview, the biggest TV platform in the UK, as well as being on other platforms. So, after the England game this afternoon, I'll retune the Freeview receiver built into my TV in order to get the new channel.

I've just put it onto Channel 236 and there was nothing. Then I retuned the built-in Freeview on my TV and then put it onto Channel 236 and there it is: GB News! Or, at least, the pre-launch build-up to it. It starts in a couple of hours at 8pm. New Zealand right-of-centre broadcaster Dan Wootton debuts his new show at 9pm.
Woohoo! It has launched! That familiar Scottish face and voice Andrew Neil - the creator of GB News and former BBC broadcaster - has appeared.

It looks good. Already a breath of fresh air from the MSM. After an hour with Neill introducing his new team, we now have New Zealander Dan Wootton presenting the first episode of his new show "Tonight Live With Dan Wooton" which will be on every night from 9pm to midnight. His first show right now is about lockdown and how it should end now. His guests tonight are the anti-lockdown former Supreme Court judge Lord Sumption and Nigel Farage. It's good stuff. Much better than BBC and Sky News etc.

When you harbor a lot of basically indefensible views your only option is to attack the credibility of your critics, and what better way than to pervert one of their greatest strengths to your own agenda.
