I actually walked through the Dyke Parade today, not my thing but at least I have seen what it is opposed to your retarded threads.

Ford doesn't like the colour Pink I suppose.
I don't care what people do in this regard. I don't pretend to understand it
I am an old grandpa of some twenty two grand kids. If any of them were to
claim they are gay, and they haven't, I would not unlove them in the least.
I think we should examine our society and rethink the fuss about it.
Years ago, mom stayed home dad worked
Then we had both parents working and institutions looking after or kids.
We got to the point where common law increased in huge numbers openly
We also corrected the court system to protect the children and the spouses
interests and keep the table level.
Lately fathers have been staying home to look after the kids and mom goes
out to work
We also have same sex couples coming out and getting married.
This is all just the evolution of the society we live in. I don't understand what
the big deal is.
After all we have lived through the age of television, the computer, electricity
and automobiles. All in the last one hundred and twenty years. this too shall
pass and future generations will wonder why we were so weird and so narrow
in our view.
Time to move on folks, the age of the gay revolution is approaching the
climax the same as the feminist revolution did from its beginning in the sixties.

Yeah, so?

Like it says in the bottom right corner of WillQ's post ..... "Please get over it"

It was not my point >.>

There is still homophobia everywhere, it's a good thing to remember it and to keep our governments and laws out of our bedrooms (except for children and rape cases of course).

Everyone is scared of the homosexuals except for those who aren't.

Why force an opinion on the Mayor? If he has come out against gays, fine, ( i do not know) if he has not it is totally wrong to corner him about his personal beliefs, either real or imagined. Odd how the door is swinging only one way these days. I have known many people who were vehemently opposed to homosexuality according to their religious beliefs but never discriminated, tormented, or accused because they were actual Christians.

So of late, anyone who does not climb on the bandwagon has no right to their opinion and should be castigated? I can see that attitude if they demonize or discriminate against gays, otherwise no way.

I couldn't agree more, but how about we keep our bedrooms off the street, too. If Ford does anything official on July 1st, it should be in honour of Canada Day, not in honour of prancing lewdly down a major downtown street.

DID IT EVER OCCUR TO ANYONE THAT MAYOR FORD SIMPLY DOES NOT GIVE A $HIT? I have several friends that are Gay/lesbian. I still wouldn't go to a gay pride parade.

He is the Mayor of the city though, doing things he doesn't like comes with the position. I agree though, Canada Day should be celebrated but the fat prick can't even do that.

The thing is, it's not just a parade. It is a money bonanza for Toronto. I walked down Church Street today during the Dyke march, the street was literally packed from side to side with capitalism at its best. Food, booze, trinkets etc, it's a good time to make money. Fast Ass Ford needs to get over his homophobia and recognize it for what it is, tourism and money.

And it's working just fine without him.

What does that mean?

It means you get a boner when a road gets repaved but you shout and rant when dollars are used for cultural events. I can somewhat understand your view as you're from the fringes of the city, blame Harris for creating the Mega-Mess.

To see why your argument fails, just replace gays with Jews:

Someone who is a mild anti-Semite (as opposed to someone who demonizes or discriminates) is still considered to have an invalid opinion, and everybody rightly considers the person to be slightly irrational. Given that Judaism is actually a choice and homosexuality has been shown to be innate, the argument is easily put forward that mild anti-homosexuality is even more irrational and invalid.

Everybody is entitled to their opinions, true, but we will form our opinions of others based in part on their opinions. I have met a person before who thought all women were genuinely inferior and deserved to be degraded proving his point by degrading a woman in front of me (to my shame, I stood by doing nothing), that may be his opinion, but I immediately thought of this person as the real inferior human being (I also thought less of myself for being unable to say anything). Whether a person believes that anti-homosexuality is deserving of such may vary, but that seems to be the direction society is moving in.

Paving the roads is a government function that benefits all; celebrating men waving their dicks at pedestrians is not a government function.

The only thing I blame Harris for is balancing the budget and beginning to reduce the debt. Oh yes, I also blame him for leaving office too soon and leaving spineless Ernie in charge.

Ever since I was a teenager I get boners all the time so I don't need your Cialis.

If I threw a party with all my friends off the rez, you can be sure I wouldn't be inviting the dumpster.

Why it's such a big deal that Ford doesn't show up, is just silly.
