What would you rather see, a bill for $9B and a winter with 10ft of snow on the way, start at Winnipeg and all points east of them would be under that same forcast.

Smoke damage at the very least (lucky painters, unlucky homeowners), roof repairs in most cases. Air ducts having to be 'thoroughly' cleaned to HEPA filter standards, for starters. Wood ash + moisture = acid that will strip hair from skin.

New paint and steam-clean the rugs and furniture

Actually it would probably be a good idea for all the home owners of 'surviving' structures to hire a building inspector before they sign any forms for the insurance companies!

So now Sheila "Shoot From the Lip" Gunn Reid is an expert on fighting forest fires. I'm so impressed.
.

Oh ya... here's what she said about the mars

" So the bomber was ready and available for the Alberta government to hire to fight the fire. But it wasn’t contracted."

Here's what Coulson said about the Mars:

"The Mars is currently going through it’s yearly inspection. Based on the fact no government has any interest whatsoever in the aircraft fighting fire, we have decided to take the Mars to the Oshkosh Air Show in late July in hopes of finding another business or home for it, keeping it somewhat operational”"

So, the Mars was not available, plus, governments have not wanted the Mars for a few years now because of it's age and the cost of keeping the damn thing in the air.

So, yes, your facetious comment concerning the not so bright Gunn is dead on. She should have stuck to staying home and cleaning dishes.

Imagine being the homeowner, the one homeowner, in a decimated subdivision that gets his place repaired rather than rebuilt from the foundation up.

In better days the wings could have been made stubby (and bi-plane in form) to become a heavy hauler to Greenland and places in the EU.

(or a 'barge' on the McKenzie River, winter and summer)

I wonder what this Fort Mac Disaster is going to do to Justin's schedule to pay off the debt! Personally I think we'll be up to our ears long after he's gone............probably after I'm gone too. :) :) :)

A @globalnews staff member says Fort Mac got what it deserved and he's sick of hearing about the fire

André Darmanin ‏@andredarmanin

Please, no more talk about Ft Mac. I'm so done! There are much more pressing national issues than helping a poorly planned city.

Anyone who is against Pipelines is against Ft McMurry.

Justin has not come out and stated that he will do whatever it takes to get product to market. He is against pipelines and Ft Mc.
He should be booed at Ft Mc

I doubt they will let anyone who might chose to do so anywhere near him, Durry. It will be a photo-op with the First Responders, politicos and such.

I heard on Power Play today that the Red Cross is sitting on 150 million dollars - the result of money donated by Canadians, companies and the two levels of government involved. Much has been said lately about the other charities that are working their butts off with few if any donations. Orgs such as the Fort Mac United Way, the Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club. It might behoove the Red Cross so send some of that money their way - a fine gesture it would be and I know much appreciated by the recipients.

Booing is generally a waste of time and effort and can also be construed as being a little immature. Maybe you would be further ahead to email him and tell him about your concerns and what you expect from him.
