Keep your head and preach the word.
To who? Conversion is in God's hands rather than mans. We are in charge of our own salvation and nobody else. Coming in 2nd place isn't such a disaster.
Isa:65:21-25:
And they shall build houses,
and inhabit them;
and they shall plant vineyards,
and eat the fruit of them.
They shall not build,
and another inhabit;
they shall not plant,
and another eat:
for as the days of a tree are the days of my people,
and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
They shall not labour in vain,
nor bring forth for trouble;
for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD,
and their offspring with them.
And it shall come to pass,
that before they call,
I will answer;
and while they are yet speaking,
I will hear.
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock:
and dust shall be the serpent's meat.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,
saith the LORD.
My cat believes I'm god. His faith is such that he shows up at the door every morning religiously whereupon I shower my benevolence upon him. I think its unfair, certainly not Christian, to relegate anothers supposition that like my cat we to might depend on the benevolence of a higher order of power. I think it's (reason)able to adhere to this hypothysis until falsified. Since creation is infinite when do you suppose this falsification may be realized? We have barely searched the local corners let alone the vastness of the eternal.
part 2/ Creation? Did we realy create anything or isn't discover a better word? Same question for superhuman instead of supernatural.
Memo, the cat was probably there all night waiting to come in so it has a warm bed to sleep on.
You can't both preach the word and keep your head, because doing the former means you've surrendered the latter to superstition and mythology. God has given us nothing, he's entirely a creation of human imagination and has no reality beyond that. He's a fictional character, and one of the nastiest in all of literature. Anybody who sees the hand of any supernatural being in anything that happens, or doesn't happen, has failed to understand events correctly.
Really? The part just posted is for those who are not believers. The first part below is for the 12 Tribes and the 2nd part is for the Gentiles that are 'believers'. Just what part do you see as being so 'nasty'?
Eze:39:25-29:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob,
and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel,
and will be jealous for my holy name;
After that they have borne their shame,
and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me,
when they dwelt safely in their land,
and none made them afraid.
When I have brought them again from the people,
and gathered them out of their enemies' lands,
and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God,
which cause them to be led into captivity among the heathen:
but I have gathered them unto their own land,
and have left none of them any more there.
Neither will I hide my face any more from them:
for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel,
saith the Lord GOD.
Zec:13:9:
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name,
and I will hear them:
I will say,
It is my people:
and they shall say,
The LORD is my God.
Re:21:3-7:
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold,
the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them,
and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow,
nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said,
Behold,
I make all things new.
And he said unto me,
Write:
for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me,
It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son.
