Northern Ontario,
He's an apostate.
A lot of people can be called apostates

I got a family Bible when I got married...(an old family tradition...
I opened it once to check my name and my wife's name and the date we got married
I opened it a second time when my daughter was born and a third time when my son was born to write it in.

Some might call me an apostate even if I try to live according to Christian standards...
Except for turning the other cheek...:wink:

And some would call you an infidel.
It's all a state of mind. Belief and faith.

Very good advice .What is the word?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made ... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1-3; 14)

In french there is a phrase to describe people who are very public about their religion and keep quoting the bible or other such books
and preach to others
We call them "Mangeux de balustre"

Agree, DS.

apostate (n.)
mid-14c., "one who forsakes his religion or faith," from Old French apostate (Modern French apostat) and directly from Late Latin apostata, from Greek apostasia "defection, desertion, rebellion," from apostenai "to defect," literally "to stand off," from apo- "away from" (see apo-) + stenai "to stand." Used in non-religious situations (politics, etc.) from mid-14c.

The antidote to apostasy:

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority." (Colossians 6-10 NIV)

Along with a favorable relationship with men there is also the relationship with God to consider.

Re:2:7:
He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Re:2:11:
He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Re:2:17:
He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna,
and will give him a white stone,
and in the stone a new name written,
which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Re:2:26:
And he that overcometh,
and keepeth my works unto the end,
to him will I give power over the nations:

Re:3:5:
He that overcometh,
the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,
but I will confess his name before my Father,
and before his angels.

Re:3:12:
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God,
and he shall go no more out:
and I will write upon him the name of my God,
and the name of the city of my God,
which is new Jerusalem,
which cometh down out of heaven from my God:
and I will write upon him my new name.

Re:3:21:
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne,
even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Indeed, MHz. Scripture consistently supports the truth that a favorable relationship with God precedes and predicts favorable relationships with men.

What kind of relationship is there with something you cannot possibly comprehend?

"We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." (1 John 5:20 NIV)

You comprehend the writings of men . From a small part of a world in a time of ignorance and deception . I am glad you listen to Jesus teachings periodically.

The time has been coming for 2 thousand years. It ain't never gonna come cuz the story is a metaphor not literal history. You are not going to be saved by anyone but yourself. You are getting as bad as Htz and selfsame with your nonsense.

Keep your head and preach the word.
Better to keep your head and keep it to yourself. This is mythology you're promoting as revealed truth. It's no more relevant to reality than any other mythology that's come down to us from ancient cultures, Yahweh or Jehovah or whatever you want to call him is no more real than Zeus, Jupiter, Marduk, Odin, Isis, or any of the thousands of other deities humanity has invented. Anybody who perceives the hand of a deity in anything that happens, or doesn't happen, has failed to understand it correctly. From gods to tooth fairies, there are no supernatural beings of any sort, never have been, never will be.

Properly rendered, DS, it is 'preach the word and keep your head':

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."(2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

Here we are in a world full of good bad and indifferent and yet we confine our
beliefs trapped in the verses of books two thousand years old full of what the
world has passed by and education debunked. We used to use Global Warming or
cooling now we just say climate change to hedge our bets
Well religion is the same, we don't look at reality we just need faith ya whatever
