Well, isn't that just a cheery taser to the gonads! Fascist you say? But, as Frank Zappa once said, "It can't happen here!"

If this is what passes for thinking in the US then the land of the free is truly in decline. Did anyone notice that none of the things mentioned in the article other than low efficiency light bulbs are actually threatened?

Thinking back on it.....without a doubt and without a word of a lie.....MSNBC and the Huffington Post probably get it right all the time????

Quit trying, DaSleeper. The FOX bashers here not only never watched FOX, they never watched MSNBC or reaf The Huffington Post, either.

You need to trade your crystal ball in for some magic beans Jack. Providing insight, it does not.

MSNBC, Huffington Post, Fox...has nothing to do with the vacuous inanity of comparing energy conservation and health initiatives to what happened when Nazis rounded up entire groups of people for their views, creed, or professional associations.

Now, now Tonington. You're being condescending with all of that logic stuff.

And of course the totally inane and disingeneous indignation displayed by the of so politically correct leftists clearly proves that they have absolutely no idea what the literary device "HYPERBOLE" is or ever was.

You need to check your history. A lot happened from 1923 - 1945. Why only focus on what happened 41 onward?

You need to check your history.

You need to check your troll panel and your history. The relevant bit of history in this thread is a passage from a 1946 speech by Martin Niemöller. The often quoted paraphrasing of which goes something like:

They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.

I don't like that speech as Martin Niemöller wrote that in hindsight.

His speech is not very historical and people often use that speech in context of anti-appeasement against Germany, even though, we never found out about the camps until 1945.

The irony is that the only concentration camps we knew about were the ones that our Governments ran:

The Allid Powers were well ware of the camps prior to 45. Check your history.
