It's nice to know there is one less woman who will get cancer from caking herself with heavy metals and whale fat.
guffaws.....there is nothing wrong with my grammar or punctuation.
Quite right. It starts with the writer, though. If a writer wants an audience, the writer should be good at getting the point across so that the reader has an easy job. That's the problem with the Bible; it's not clearly written. What I have found is that many times people don’t read what is written (deleted comma) but they read what they think is written. They make certain assumptions as to what is written (based upon their own biases) and come to one conclusion (deleted comma) while the writer may have said something altogether different.
Thus in this context it was clear to me that I was giving a possible argument that an employer may make (that if a waitress wears make up, she looks pretty). (The comma replaced by a period) I was not advancing it as my opinion. (It was clear to you perhaps, but apparently to no-one else).
But it has happened many times (Inserted "s"); (inserted semicolon)a poster claims I said something (deleted comma) only for me to come back and say that I did not say that at all. (Comma replaced by a period. A semicolon would work, too) I said something different (and a careful reading of the post would bear me out).
Just as good writing takes effort, good reading takes effort as well.
Just about anyone can attract an audience. For that matter, a monkey that can poke keys can do that. There's a difference between a writer thinking he or she can get their point across and the reader thinking the same.Nothing wrong with my writing, Gilbert, I seem to attract plenty of audience. I even attract unwanted audience, as is evident by the many Trolls who hang on to each and every word by me and post a reply to them, even though I don’t read their posts (though that has diminished somewhat recently, I don’t know of moderators cracked down on them).
So I don’t think I have any problem getting my point across. As I said, a lot of the grammar (except for the obvious spelling mistakes) is these days a matter of preference.
Yep. Foolish laymen always argue with experienced experts.I don’t’ agree with many of the punctuations you have given, Gilbert. E.g.

Why a comma replaced by a period? Comma looks quite appropriate to me. Whether one puts a comma (denoting continuation of thought) or a period (beginning of a new thought) is largely a matter of opinion, a matter of preference.
Again, there is nothing wrong with my punctuation, the corrections given by you notwithstanding (I assume you are an expert in grammar, you probably majored in English language during your university studies). Whether one uses comma, semi colon, full stop etc. is usually a matter of taste, these days there are no hard and fast rules to it (in spite of what your grammar books may say)
Japan still uses it in make-up. Stuff like PCB, DDT mercury etc etc etc concentrates in the blubber that's how come it's bad.Do they still use whale fat in the make up? I thought they stopped that a long time ago. And anyway, why would an animal fat be bad for you (heavy metals I can understand), if you smear it on your skin?

lol I rest my case.
Yep. Foolish laymen always argue with experienced experts.
roflmao Going by your logic: just because you think you are lucid doesn't mean everyone else does.Sorry, Gilbert, but I don’t know that you are an expert (you saying that you are one doesn’t make you one, anybody may make any kind of unverifiable claim on internet). Not that it would make much of a difference even if I knew that you were an expert. As I said, whether one puts in a comma, semi colon or full stop is largely a matter of taste.
According to your frame of thought, jhekrughuerygjdhbfvygfdcjnerv. lol
IOW, so you don't care whether you really are understood? As long as you THINK you are is what matters. lmao
TenPenny, my posts say precisely what I want them to say; there is nothing wrong with my grammar or punctuation.
At issue is not his punctuation. His punctuation is a defense for his remarks.
