Ok let's just fire everyone from every job and start the hiring practice over. Ok but everyone has to stay on until we find a replacement for them. Then they are fired. We good?

The 17-year-old on US Airways Express Flight 3079 was using tefillin, a set of small boxes containing biblical passages that are attached to leather straps, Philadelphia police Lt. Frank Vanore said.
When used in prayer, one box is strapped to the arm while the other box is placed on the head.
"It's something that the average person is not going to see very often, if ever," FBI spokesman J.J. Klaver said.

People were rightfully suspicious, they don't know what the hell is guy is doing...

Atheists should get a discount.

That's not a bad idea. The only problem is that Atheist would have to register themselves and churches would have to screen people entering their establishments. Church services would not be able to be conducted until any and all Atheists were removed (if the got past security).

The problem is if there is an emergency there will be no one left to pray for the atheists.
This goes to the heart of the problem, we have by way of government created a climate
of fear and suspicion of things and people we don't understand. One way to get past
this is to do away with the idea we are all different and have one set of customs for all.
Oh and good luck with that.
We have to stop viewing each other with suspicion because we have different customs.
People also have to be sensitive to others, many practice different ceremonial things
and in a plane it could cause others to believe something suspicious is going on. The
aircraft employees can't take chances, and the safety and fears real or imagined are part
of ensuring that safety. We need to determine as a society what the rules are on public
transportation. At least they are behaving like good NHL ref's the other day they threw
some Muslims off a plane, so why not a Jewish guy and even things up a bit.
Who is next a Catholic with prayer beads, watch out they are a suspicious lot.

"We have to stop viewing each other with suspicion because we have different customs."

Agreeded, however that's a bit hard to do when you're crammed on a commercial plane with dozens/hundreds of other people and knowing from the past that people that are extremist muslims whom tend to suicide bomb or hi-jack a plane, have this little habbit of praying before they commit the act.

And to the untrained ear, Hebrew sounds quite similar to Arabic.

So in some situations, that suspicion people have towards different customs is a natural instinct of survival...... it might be ignorant, and it might be full of fear.... but it happens to the best of us from time to time, depending on the environment we're placed in.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean there is no one out to get you.
Weyoun - "Then let's just say, I left Cardassia because my life was in danger."
Odo - "From whom?"
Weyoun - "Everyone."
Odo - "Aren't you being a little paranoid?"
Weyoun - "Of course I'm paranoid, everyone's trying to kill me."
