I just read up on it & I will definitely ask him about it. The last shot was an injection of durolane which is supposed to be a jell-type that coats the joint & it's supposed to last up to 9 months. It's not covered by healthcare so it cost me $275. Fortunately, my extended health paid for most of it. But, instead of making things better, it's even worse than before I got the shot. At least I could use my walker; now, not so much. I was told it would take anywhere from 1 week to 1 month to see the difference. Well, it's been a month & OMG I can hardly walk the pain is so bad.
So I'll definitely talk to him about options and Prolotherapy will be one of them. Thanks for the tip!!
