I'm trying to get the right meds for my right hip. Apparently, it's not "bad enough" to replace but I can't walk the pain is so debilitating. It's frustrating. I took a two shots of cortisone; the first worked wonderfully but the second one worked only for a short period of time. My orthopaedic doctor told me not to use cortisone in my hip because it makes things worse so I went with an option and it's even worse than before I got the shot. At least I could walk by using my walker; not anymore. It's a good thing I have a mobility scooter otherwise my pup wouldn't get any walks at all.

So, I'm going to my doctor at the end of the month to insist that I at LEAST be referred to my orthopaedic doctor because that'll take time anyway & who knows when the hell I'd be getting a replacement anyway. I'll likely die before that happens!! I've tried CBD & other over the counter medications to no avail. It sucks getting old, that's for sure!!

My right hip feels your right hip. Humid days are the worst.

Pain in the ass, ain't it?

Mine is arthritis aggravating an old wound.

Yes, I got shot in the ass. It ain't funny.
Without actually having that happen to me, I think I know what it feels like. Bulged some discs a while back. Got sciatica. I honestly think I know what it feels like to have been shot in the ass without actually being shot in the ass. Sciatica confuses the nerve signals. Much much empathy.

Dumb can be fun. Or painful.

Or both!
I was picking up a tamper (for compacting gravel that’s gonna end up under a concrete floor), a big industrial one.

It was about -40°C or -40°F… guess it doesn’t matter at that point. I’m at a rental agency and it’s too cold for their forklift to start. A young big farm kid working behind the counter said, “I’ll load it up with you!”

We go to handbomb this 300-ish lb tool into the back of the 2500 I’m driving and he slips as this thing is in the air and swinging up towards the tailgate.

I have a choice of letting go and not getting hurt, but watching this young guy get squished, or holding on and trying to yank him and the machine back into plane to get it into the back of the truck without him getting hurt.

I made my choice and I live with it every day. That’s about 15 years ago now.

I presume you'll deny that was heroic?

They always do.
