Will Saudi Arabia and Qatar go to war over the name of a Mosque? Let's hope so.......

A United Arab Emirates government minister on Sunday warned that an alliance of Gulf Arab states was facing a major crisis and he said there was an urgent need to rebuild trust.

The row appears to emanate from old accusations made in 2014 that Qatar backs Islamists outlawed by Saudi Arabia and the UAE as terrorist organizations.

Ties between Qatar and some of its GCC allies suffered an eight-month breakdown in 2014 over Qatar's alleged support for the Muslim Brotherhood, the political ideology of which challenges the principle of dynastic rule.

The rift ended after what diplomats said at the time was a promise by Qatar to the UAE that the Muslim Brotherhood would not be allowed to operate from the country.

Gargash said that the road to resolving any crisis "between someone and his brothers was to have true intentions, abide by commitments, change the behavior that had caused damage and turn a new page".

Earlier in the day, descendents of the founding father of Saudi Arabia's Wahhabi brand of Islam published a statement in Saudi media distancing themselves from Qatar's ruling family.

In the front-page statement, Saudi Arabia's Okaz newspaper said that 200 descendants of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab demanded the renaming of a Qatar mosque named after the 18th century cleric even though most Qataris practise Wahhabism.

"We, therefore, demand that the name of the mosque be changed for it does not carry its true Salafi path," the statement said, according to the Arabic-language Okaz.

Qatar's ruling al-Thani family traces its history to Najd, the central and northern part of Saudi Arabia where Ibn Abd al-Wahhab was from.

The Islam religion is in fact the renewal of the Judaism and Christianity in its pure form in addition to promoting and some better changes recommended by God.

The proof:
As Muslims, we believe in the Quran revealed to our Prophet Mohammed, and in addition, we believe in the Tablets and the Torah of Moses, the Psalms of David, the books revealed to the prophets, and we believe also in the Gospel revealed to Jesus Christ.

Moreover, we the Muslims, submit ourselves to God Almighty and Most Gracious in compliance and obedience.

So now man should follow the Islam religion which is the most recent God's religion, and because the previous religions have been altered and the creed have been changed from submitting to God into the idolatry and the enthusiasm.

Therefore, anyone adopts and follows any religion other than the Islam .. his good work will not be accepted from him, and in the Next Life he will be a loser : will lose the prosperity of Paradise and will go to Hell.

That's it without hypocrisy or sucking.

So don't tell people and cheat yourselves: fed with the Islam ..etc.

Isn't it Ramadan?

Aren't you supposed to be dancing around a headless Christian firing your Kalashnikov in the air?

If Qatar and Saudi Arabia blew themselves up and ended their presence in the world then radical Islam would be 99% destroyed....

The plan is that Saudi Arabia and the US are going to work together to keep the money flowing. The Saudis want to see the neighbours killed. Most of the world is good with that too. The Shias gotta go, and anyone else that gets in the Saudis way.

Shall I remind you that you have been e-mailing me with nasty little barbed notes since I made my first post on this site- at which point I had never heard of you and lacked any knowledge of your twisted value system!
I have? Damn, son, you are now officially delusional. And I thought you were just a moron.

The Saudis are doing a good job at that creating the worlds largest current humanitarian crisis in Yemen that has 17 million people starving.

Our governments keep selling Saudi Arabia arms and weapons to replace the ones they used in Yemen. Trudeau and Trump seem to want our countries to stay the course and do the right thing for our "allies"

That's because the Saudis represent stability. And politics makes strange bedfellows. I would trust them over the Syrians, Iranians or the Iraqis.

Trouble is coming from the Iranians, IMO. The MOAB test recently conducted in Afghanistan was to see how well conventional wpns do in that topography. Afghanistan and Iran share similar geography. Mountainous and craggy.

We'll have to wait and see. Something is coming.

You'd probably gain more traction if you didn't write a novel with every post. Attention spans being what they are these days, you lose a portion of your audience.

Just sayin'.

I think everyone is fed up with Islam.

Oh Murphy your "its to long" remark is classic LIE-beral- they dont care about right and wrong they just want people like me to shut up and go away! If you rage and roar they they claim you are a long winded kook! If you give a brief modest whine then they dismiss you as not having a problem!

SOME Cdns are sick of Islam but our govt is not! The more outrageous Muslim behaviour is reported on publicly the easier it will be to fix things! Is Islam the religion dedicated to peace as its supporters claim? Or are they giving us a HUGE snow job? The truth is covered in snow-based on research done by Thomas Quigin, a former intelligence analyst with the Cdn Privy Council and Saied Shoaaib, a journalist originally from Egypt. The 2 men quietly did research in Cdn Mosques and their libraries and at Islamic schools. The results of their research were presented in the Aug 23/16 Globe and Mail. Set out below is a summary of the Globe column, along with some comments of my own in brackets):

The 2 men say that they found nothing but extremist writings at several such places and that there was NOTHING to refute such extremist views at other Mosques and schools. They suggest that “further research is required to determine the depth and breadth of this problem”. The 2 men go on to suggest that, based on their study of social media postings, many Cdn`s-especially politicians, are deliberately blind to the growing radical threat in Canada.

The 2 men say that Cdn Muslims with “humanist and modernist outlooks are being drowned out by those with radical views! The Cdn Council of Imams did not respond to a request for comment.

In 2015 Cdn senate defense committee stated that some foreign trained Imams have been spreading extremist philosophy here in Canada. The Cdn committee urged govt to look into Imam certification and training to curb radicals.

(The findings of this committee have been set aside as the senate was-at the time-dominated by Conservative party members and currently LIE-berals ain’t interested in rooting out LIE-beral friendly radicals!)

(Our brainless Boy Trudope has since appointed a bunch of LIE-berals who are not LIE-berals-so he says- to the senate and he really expects us to believe that simply taking away the LIE-beral party cards of life long LIE-berals will instantly convert them into reasonable and sensible, neutral minded politicians open to both sides of a political argument- rather than simply remaining as rabid LIE-beral supporters- MINUS the accreditation! The newly made LIE-beral dominated committee has thrown mud on the previous committee report-do they believe-or are they simply covering the ass of Our brainless Boy?)

Ottawa Imam Mohamad Jerbara demanded to know who would do the certifying if govt got involved? He points out (rightly I think) that Catholics would be insulted if Jews or Protestants had the power to refuse certification of Catholic Priests. Jebara also stated that targeting Muslim clergy exclusively “Could backfire and result in further marginalizing Muslims”.

(I have to say that ship has sailed-Muslims are ALREADY viewed with deep suspicion by many Cdns! WE have sadly recognized that Muslims LIE to us at every turn-there is even a piece in the Quran that lays out the religious rules for lying to un-believers like us!)

(Consider newly appointed Metro Toronto Police pastor Imam Khan-the Muslim cleric chosen to minister to Muslim cops in Toronto-in the same way that Priests and Ministers and Rabbi`s have done for decades. There was Khan in the news-looking proud in his new police uniform-and it took about 2 days to expose his racist/sexist online blog. Oh my-the new Imam is a classic Muslim uber all type swine-and his ONLY defense for his bigoted opinions-especially about women is to whine that his remarks where taken out of context! This is Muslim double speak meaning “we didn’t expect you white people to read our CRAP”!)

(Or what of secular/feminist author Djemila Benhabib-currently being sued for slander by a private Muslim school in Montreal? In 2012 she made comments on a radio show-comparing the Montreal school to militant Islamic training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan.)

(The school claims she slandered them and she defends herself with freedom of expression laws. She was concerned with certain verses from the Quran-presented on the school web site. She claims the verses are the type that urge repression of women and urges the faithful to create a society different than ours. She says this is the sort of indoctrination that is used to produce Muslim radicals.)

(In a rather damning reaction, the Muslim school REMOVED the verses that so offended Benhabib-BEFORE launching the slander suite! One is inclined to ask if this is not another instance of Muslims thinking we are too stupid to react to the poison in our midst? If the verses were not likely to offend us un-believers then why remove them? Or whine about being taken out of context like Imam Khan? What is it that Muslims are hiding from us? With LIE-berals putting the blinders on us all, apparently in exchange for Muslim votes?)

(The Muslim definition of `slander` apparently means we must not quote them either publicly or accurately when they say stupid or bigoted things because it upsets them to be caught out by stupid infidels!)

Bet there are few to none Sunnis in that group.

Well Iraq hot a double header of evil in the same amount of days...

Those damn apostate Shi'ites in Iraq and Iran...

Im still going with Iran.

Shi'ites as a whole compared to Sunnis and Wahabists are a little more
Pluralistic.

The world is a strange place. I would like to see the Muslims fighting only their own, but that's unlikely to happen. We both know that, as a group, they aren't playing with a full deck. Lts of ignorance and hate in the region.

I am hopeful that in order to consolidate wealth and power, the Saudis step up to the plate. The trouble is, their close proximity to each other makes it difficult to do anything meaningful.
