Yup,and only 30 minute drive south of my house by pavement or 2 hours if I skirt the continental divide on the Alberta side through lost creek and Westcastle ski hill. I did lots of logging in that area in the late 70's so that was my old stomping grounds.Back then you could drive for 7 hours in the mountains and not see a soul, now theres thousands of dirt bikes and quads ripping all over just outside the park boundary.
Watertons getting touristy now too since they stay open all year now.
I have to admit, the parks do a pretty good job of keeping most development at bay and preserving some beautifull country. Most private land outside the forestry is now all gated or developed into weekend mansion retreats and 20 years ago you could 4 wheel anywhere.
Glacier in MT is great too. I've done several trips there summer and winter. Great skiing in MT and it's waaaay cheaper.

We took a trip through Glaciar during the height of the forest fires in 2003 and didn't see a god damned thing for smoke. However gambling in Kalispell and Libby helped to ease the pain!

One of the Casinos in an Exxon? Kalispell, Lincoln and Whitefish are great places to visit. If I were to live in the US it would without question be MT.

They used to have a big doo in Kalispell called Canadian days when they took money at par for a week.
Mooses saloon and the hole in the wall bar were wild as was the fort which burned down finally when it just started getting too wild.

I can't remember many details, I think Libby had one casino for about every 5 population. It's actually pretty small potatoes- at that time I'm sure jackpots were limited to $40 maximum.
I think one in Libby was in an Exxon.

The mom and pop places usually give par. It's the chain companies that nail you.

Mostly $1 blackjack and slots.

Perhaps they need a rail system that does a loop of the whole lake in either a day or weekend or week-long tour. Some would have stops along the way others would be a steady 3mph and the bar car and casino is 24/7, adults only and waivers must be signed at boarding time for that specific train. RideAtYourOwnRisk, All aboard.

They have a couple paddleboats that do the day tour into the states and do just that.
