Don't know.....sounds nasty though. Time will tell.

I made a promise in November that I wouldn't shovel any snow this year. We got a six inch dump in January
and I was under some pressure to shovel the driveway but I didn't......It rained the next day and in two
or three days it was gone. I figure I just have to get past the first two weeks in March and I've got it made...

Don't blame you one bit for not wanting to shovel Vancouver Island snow! Can be a real heart attack recipe, if you do have to do it rest for a full minute after every third shovel load.

Truly, I envy you, juan. We have had nothing but snow for the past week and the forecast is for more every day of the coming one. Not a day has gone by that I haven't spent hours shoveling and cleaning the driveway and paths - not that I can go anywhere as we haven't seen a snow-plow the entire past week. Seems all I do these days is shovel snow and watch the Canucks win games!

Rest periods are essential, JLM.........the snow we have been getting these past few days is wet and heavy as the temps are in the plus range. The snow banks are so high now that I have to lift and throw it which makes the job even tougher - ah well, I should be in grand shape for Spring! ;-)

According to the weatherman there is a sixty percent chance of flurries on Sunday. The weather has been so changeable
lately that I won't worry untill closer to Sunday.

As far as the Canucks go, I would bet they win the next couple games at least.

From here the wind is supposed to continue from the NW for 18-24 hrs at -20c and then 48 hr to blow back. 2in of snow is all RD should see as we in an Arctic flow (getting colder under clear skies)

I have to drive across 3 fields and a small creek before I can even find a snow bank. Might have to go with hay again this year.

Ron. You'll love this one!

Sweet! I had my shoveling (& the neighbours) done before 10am.
Weird snow. A mix of dry'n'fluffy, then a few feet later it would be
wet'n'heavy...& then back. A large branch in the tree in my front
yard snapped due to the weight of the snow. Blew in strange too.

My lawn was mostly bare, & now is covered by 8-10" of snow in
most places. I don't think there was too much snowfall, but it
blew in deep at my place. My sidewalk was covered to the
same depth as the lawn. Easy driving though, as not much was
left in open places like the streets.

Sounds like it to me, as an old Islander I can remember many days much colder than minus 9C. I have vivid memories of the winter of 1949-50, the year I was in grade one at Shawnigan Lake and we had icicles that reached the ground and the temp. dropped to 14 below F.

Right now in Kelowna BC it -10 the normal temp for this time of year is around+3 and
a low of -1. It is going to get a few degrees colder before warming up and snowing by
mid week next week.
When I go to complain I think about living in Peace River Alberta for a few years.
Minus fifty or more was not unheard of. This I can handle don't like it but I can
handle this. Can prune fruit trees in this weather though
