Why chase enlightenment when through meditation enlightenment will come to you. That is how you recoup faster and get smarter as well. We are all part of a unified consciousness. Creation has no meaning , it is your existence that gives it meaning.
So what is your opinion on the use of drugs to seek a deeper meditation and deeper meaning / understanding of self?
I've just watched a documentary about certain drugs used for this (mushrooms, mdma, ayahuasca) from the 1960's and then the turn against it, and now back to it's accepted use as well as the belief that these aids can lead to learning to cope with ptsd. It was fascinating and very optimistic.

Have you ever watched a rock grow?
Thinking can only get you so far. It cannot help you transcend rational boundaries or get past your own ego. Besides one is trapped in the duality of reality. Welcome to the wisdom of the Vedantic transcendentalists. Namaste to you.
Speak for yourself. I am the linchpin of the Creator's plan. The reality is we are but a small part of the Creators plan.
The problem with drugs is they induce hallucinations which can be mistaken for heightened awareness. It may or may not release suppresses consciousness. But the experience is synthetic. Chemically induced brain activity can also lead to cross-communication between synapses. The goal of meditation is to stimulate non-local communication so one can connect with the universes and the unified consciousness to become one with it. But I do declare drugs is a faster way to at least touch the edges of what Vedantists have perfected with years of training. So imagine what my high is like having reached spiritual and esoteric dimensions that extend beyond the conscious physical world.
Namaste to you.
As I was saying.......Speak for yourself. I am the linchpin of the Creator's plan.
I have watched things that could make a rock grow.
So how would someone not using drugs and reaching such a deep meditation state be sure they aren't hallucinating?
I have watched things that could make a rock grow.
Not what I asked.
That is quite easy. When you begin your meditation you start by putting your hands on ether side of you in a lotus position and chanting a focus word till you reach a deep meditative state. When you come out of that deep meditative state look at where your hands are. If it is wrapped around a bong!! You have been smoking something, if it is near a pill box, you have popped something. If your hands are still in the lotus position your trance like state was not hallucination.
k, but if you started with no drugs and you hallucinate...how are you going to know it wasn't real?
