So make you case Walt. What is it? Sun spots? Total Solar Irradience? Cosmic rays? What's the cause of the long-term trend in the climate system?

When you're finished there, try explaining how the Sun could cause the energy imbalance at the top of the atmosphere, and a cooling stratosphere with a warming troposphere. Thanks very much in advance.
I've made my case over and over again; see older posts. None are so blind as those who only want my money.

No you haven't. You have never made any case. You just link to articles. You've never once wrote a coherent post of what your thoughts are, and showed with examples that you are within the context of reality. You've simply posted links to any argument that anyone on the internet is willing to make, regardless of the consistency. You've linked to articles that claim the climate sensitivity is low. You've linked to articles that say climate sensitivity is high. You've linked to articles invoking sun spots. You've linked to articles invoking cosmic rays. You've linked to articles that say there is no warming in the ocean. You've linked to articles that claim global warming is due to ocean circulation patterns.

I used to debunk the stuff you linked to, but when you recycle the same nonsense over and over again, well it's far easier for you to read something and say "Ah Hah!", and post it without engaging any critical thought, than it is for me to show you why it's crap.

There was a question about the suns ability to adjust earths climate, strange I know but that's what globalist stormtroopers are like.
What's the cause of the long-term trend in the climate system?
That would be the long term power supply to this arm of our galaxy. Which of course is variable. That means it goes up and down permanently. I didn't want to get too technical but there it is. Up and down Tonnington up and down.

Does the Church of Climatology keep christmas.

You need to slow down old timer. Normally it's the younger generation who are supposed to be hasty, but if you go back again more slowly you'll see that I was asking what specifically. I've never denied that the sun can change the climate; I simply ask those who wish to point to the sun as a cause to identify which mechanisms, and to try to explain how it could cause the observed phenomenon. I don't think that is too much to ask.

How could increasing solar ouptut-whatever form it is you wish to promote as the main driver of this current climate change-heat up the lower atmosphere, but not the upper atmosphere? That can't be ignored.

Same thing as last time. Somebody blowing a bunch of hot air.

You whippersnappers are all the same

It's the shiny part of the sunshine that is the mechanism in question.
7 sun cycle peaks ago it as 1934.

Total Solar Irradience, trending down:

Maybe you were thinking of something else?

Climate Change STINKS!

Why can't the climate simply stay EXACTLY how it was 20 years ago? What can we as humans do to keep the climate EXACTLY how it is today for the next BILLION years!

assinine

Pay taxes and it'll all miraculously fall into line.

DailyTech - Blogger Finds Y2K Bug in NASA Climate Data

McKintyre notified the pair of the bug; Ruedy replied and acknowledged the problem as an "oversight" that would be fixed in the next data refresh.

NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place. 1921 takes third. In fact, 5 of the 10 warmest years on record now all occur before World War II. Anthony Watts has put the new data in chart form, along with a more detailed summary of the events.

The effect of the correction on global temperatures is minor (some 1-2% less warming than originally thought), but the effect on the U.S. global warming propaganda machine could be huge.

Then again -- maybe not. I strongly suspect this story will receive little to no attention from the mainstream media.

Most current/plasma/mass enter through the earths poles not through its surface, the earths core is plasma.

Oh gee whiz Wally that's toughie.

The solar radiation doesn't need to increase when geomagnetics are decreasing and shifting which redistributes radiation in dramatic previous unobserved manners and patterns.

See, this is what I was talking about. The lot of you can't even come up with anything consistent. We've now gone from solar cycles to Earth's magnetic field. Well, show what changes are producing which effects. Link to any analysis you like.

But you still will have to explain why one layer is warming while the other is not. Good luck.

Welcome to the Solar SYSTEM!
