Stats have proven that unless the president is absolutely horrible or impeached that they get re-elected for a second term anyway. Wont change a thing.
That's not proof, it's just indication.

Obama has three years to turn things around. If theres not a seeing change he won't do a second term. This healthcare program should of been stretched out during his four years. This would of given him a chance to iron out kinks and better acceptance from bothsides. Hastily pushing it through worked against him. Getting Americans back to work should of been his first objective.

As for Palin. If she is on the ballet for the presidency then it will be the second Republican puppet chosen . Let's face it she brings nothing to the table, I'd be surprised if she can think on her own. Republicans need someone at the helm that people can trust and make sense of what he/she says. They should also stay away from negative campaign. It didnt seem to have worked last time. If they walk a fine line with a workable program they would have a good chance if not solid.

Bringing Palin in is an insult to the American intelligence.
They need Iggy over there. Get him to run. :D He's pretty bright.

I think it's kind of funny that if someone is a Rep and runs for office, they are really not very bright or else if they are bright, they are quite evil as well.

lol Howz that for a stereotype?

it will almost certainly be another easy victory for Obama when faced with such an intellectual lightweight.
I believe Mr. "Corpseman", is the intellectual lightweight. Where are his grades? Why haven't they been released? The Bamster reminds me of the Hilton broad, all image and no substance.

I support Palin for President in 2012. What could it possibly hurt? The country is already bankrupt and dissolving. Presidential Cleavage, they should change her name to Bunny.
Nah, Bambi would be a better name.

Theodore Roosevelt, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and George Bush Sr. might argue with that analysis......

Well, a lot can happen in a few years. I still think Palin had a few accomplishments as governor of Alaska and that, combined with her "fresh" (non-elitist) style might just come together to capture the attention of voters. You never know...
Are we talking about the same Gov. Palin that was all for the Bridge to Nowhere until it was built and then after was against it?

Oh come on, the bridge was to connect Ketchikan with Gravina Island. The 50 or so people are still using the ferry. :)

Did anybody see on CNN, Joan of Arc had scribbled crib notes on the palm of her hand, and she was referring to them as she answered questions?

That can’t do her much good, that footage will be shown again and again, it is circulating on the web. If she cannot answer simple, friendly, softball questions without referring to the crib notes, it does not bode well when she has to answer tough questions. No wonder she bombed out with Katie Couric.

I think Katie is quite familiar with bombing out, for sure.

Just proves it's good to be flexible and not get stuck in a rut on important decisions. Demonstrates an ability to grasp changing situation elements, and respond in an appropriate manner. All adds up to wise, thoughtful decisions.

That may be, but Katie is not running for a public office. Joan of Arc was, and her interviews with Couric ruined her.

Ironically, the same thing may happen with this interview, even though it was in a friendly setting and all the questions asked here were easy, softball q1uestions. Those were all her acolytes in the audience, even if she had recited multiplication tables in answer (assuming she knows any), the audience would have cheered wildly for her.

And for this kind of interview she needs crib notes?

You are right, CB, a lot can happen and hopefully these intervening years will finally show Palin for the twit she truly is thus eliminating any possibility of seeing her as a candidate. The woman seriously needs to get a grip on reality.

From what I've seen, she looks pretty "real" to me!

I'm quite taken by her refreshing approach to public speaking. A few little errors here and there only add to her "one of the regular people" appeal. I'd be more suspicious of her if she had all the answers, made no speaking errors, and sounded just perfect. Nobody is perfect, and she demonstrates a lot of guts by allowing herself to be presented as "what you see is what you get."

You never know...after all the talking games, slickness, and elitism being shown on TV by politicians, the "silent majority" may just decide that it's time for some down home goodness and reality.

"President Palin"...don't you love the way that just rolls off the tongue?

She didn't look very "ruined" to me.

Not sure of her multiplication skills, but the crib notes are always a good idea. Otherwise, people might suspect that she thinks she knows everything. And we all know how wrong that attitude can be.

.... and we all "commonly understand" how some people go off on tangents, losing track of the topic.
