Let us have some perspective here, first of all no he should not have gone through the
security stop I agree with that. Think about this, we have security staff stopping the
politicians from all parties every single day. They stop the same people and apply the
same questions and waste the time of theirs and the politicians. Plus if there are those
who are not politicians, they are waiting in line for three hundred people to be questioned
by staff who know who they are.
Some say Mulcair is arrogant and they are entitled to their opinion everybody has one.
Or could it be that he asked the question all the others wished they would have asked?
Personally under circumstances I won't bore you with, I have met this man on a couple of
occasions. I didn't find him arrogant at all. I remember when I met Joe Clark I didn't think
he was stupid. I found the Late Allen Blakeney to be a very interesting man as well.
At one time or another I have met political leaders of all stripes I found a contrast between
what they are like and the public's perception at a glance. It has taught me to reserves
judgement at least until I had a better understanding of who they are.
No I don't like Christi Clarke, met her and my opinion would not change.
The most striking difference came for me when I had some dealing with Werner Schmidt he
was a Reform member of the House years ago, few people liked him, I got to know him and
found him to be an honorable man.
As for Mulcair? I don't think he suffers fools easily, I think he could have a bit of a temper but
I think he's sincere as a politician gets, and he likely has as many flaws as the rest of us. Is he
arrogant? Never saw that in the man.
