Do you actually like fried bananas?
Then, for a nice summer dessert - Put your peeled banana in flour, egg, then Panko Breading and deep fry it for a few moments only. Then make it up like a regular banana split with a touch of whipped cream.

I rarely have trouble getting orders correct when visiting a Timmys outside of the city...usually run by little white wholesome nits fresh out of college that understand english.
Its the hired hands shipped to this country with little or no english speaking skills that make a bee-line from the airport straight to a Timmys outlet and expected to provide complete customer service. You`ve seem em....milling around behind the counter by the dozens screwing up just about evey order over 3 items.
Can you get your mouth open any wider for your foot. You seem to just keep sticking it further in!8O

I like the Random Act of Kindness concept although I feel I am spoiling my fun by writing about it but I like this thread and the different things which people enjoy doing ....

When I realized my life was taking a turn years back I made a promise not in a religious way but I guess it had to be because who else would one make a promise to? Anyway I said if I continued to live in reasonably good health and was able to continue my work I would try to help others in any way I could and hopefully in
privacy at least once a month for as long as I was able.

I have had some wonderful experiences - especially seeing reactions and laughs and good things come from people who were just having a regular day when a little "surprise" is offered them - it's fun and because it isn't something I "get credit for" other than bragging about it here..... it has given me some of the happiest moments.

An example - I'll tell a waiter/waitress to take care of someone's lunch as I am leaving and see someone eating alone at a table.... and tell the waiter to keep the change whatever it comes to.

I often just send flowers for no reason to people I see regularly in my small world and the florist I use is sworn to secrecy.

Anonymous giving is the best way to feel good - but giving someone a smile or a happy moment in a quick chat while waiting to cross the street works too.

We may not realize our sharing could be the only bright spot in a person's life during that particular day.

It pays back big time!!!

I once had a pal named Dock (not his real name, of course) who had a few run ins with the law. He was on probation and had a couple of brews with some of his buddies. Well, he left a few cans in the back of his pickup when he was stopped by the fuzz. He easily passed the breathilizer test but got busted for having those empties in the back of his pickup.

Dock was in bankruptcy and could not find a lawyer who was willing to take his case unless he paid up a big retainer fee (this because of his past record). He did not have the $500 or so that was demanded and came to me in utter desperation. He asked what he could do to beat the rap since he knew of my past in working in tax and administrative law.

Naturally, I got angry that none of those pissbags in the legal field would help him. So I told him what to do (he was actually a rather smart guy despite his long prison record) and he followed my instructions to a T. He easily beat the rap and the judge threw out the cop's case (the cop was, in fact, rather red faced in that court room). Dock came to me the next day with a HUGE smile on his face, gave me a big slap on the shoulder (in fact, he weighted nearly 400 lbs and almost caved in my shoulder!) and shouted with joy at the fact that he beat the rap thanks to my instructions.

Dock had a serious heart problem and would have died in prison almost immediately had he gone back there. He lived another four years and spent the rest of his life with his family. This was about 3 years ago. Ever since then not a single day has gone by that I have not envisioned him in my mind -- this is what happens when you save a man's life.

Perhaps this is the biggest random act of kindness I have ever done.

Good for you - And yes other opportunities will arise - i am sure you will see them and do the right thing.

Thanx Goober - I remember meeting Dock's daughter at one time. I was surprised at how beautiful she was. He told her the story and her gorgeous, appreciative smile is one that has stayed on my mind all this time as well.

Great story Gopher

The help you gave was a great memory for you to share - especially when your buddy was found innocent.

I found a rather pricey looking watch on a city bus today and immediately surrendered it to the driver so that none would take it to the pawn shop. Evidently, the driver knows who it belongs to and will see to it that it is properly returned.

That sure made my day.

And thanx Curiosity for your kind words above.

:)
