…because family🙄. Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is weighing in on a White-House floated rumor that his Los Angeles constituent, rapper Nicki Minaj, could be the next White House press secretary, resurfacing a series of public sparring between Minaj and the Democratic governor. "We can only pray," Newsom's press office posted on Oct. 25 in response to a TMZ report that Minaj has been floated by White House staffers for the role.

…even leading a "We Love Trump" chant. The rapper previously appeared with Trump in January at the Trump Account Summit, writing on X that she was "paying it forward" by investing in the president's financial plan for American youth.

…Minaj's name has emerged as a possible contender for the role. White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung posted a video of Minaj on Air Force One, writing "Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!"
(Nicki Minaj does have an arrest history but unlike U.S. President Donald Trump who is a convicted felon following his New York felony conviction in May 2024, her husband Kenneth Petty is a convicted felon with a past criminal record (including an attempted rape conviction and a manslaughter plea), and her brother Jelani Maraj was convicted of child sexual assault, so she can blend)

U.S. President Donald Trump is shaking up his inner circle days after the disastrous midterm elections by naming Stephen Miller as the new White House Chief of Staff.

Trump made the announcement on his Truth Social account Friday afternoon.

“I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026,” the President wrote.

“Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff – She has done a great job!”

First female Chief of Staff
Shortly after Trump’s announcement, Wiles acknowledged her departure from the White House on social media. She made history by becoming the first female Chief of Staff in January 2025.

“Serving President Trump in the White House has been the honor of a lifetime,” she wrote on her X account. “I’m so proud to have been a part of what we’ve accomplished together from securing our border and cutting taxes to strengthening our economy and putting America First.

“More than anything, I’m grateful for the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. While my role may be changing, my commitment to the President and the mission never will.”

Sources told the Washington Post that Wiles submitted her resignation to Trump on Thursday night.

A White House official told Fox News that the decision for Wiles to step down was “very amicable.”

“A great pick,” an administration official told Fox News Digital about Miller. “He has the trust of millions of Americans who understand that reversing mass migration is the crisis of our time.”

Architect of immigration crackdown
Miller is the architect of Trump’s sweeping immigration crackdown and deportation efforts since the President returned to office for a second term.

The move by Trump comes after the Democrats took control of the Senate and House of Representatives following Tuesday’s midterm elections.

In March, Wiles was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. She then underwent surgery and chemotherapy before announcing she was free of cancer in a guest column for USA Today in late September.

“I have profound respect and empathy for every person enduring treatment for this disease,” Wiles wrote. “It drains you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”

She said, while dealing with cancer was a “difficult road” because it affected her stamina and mobility, the disease doesn’t have to take away who you are as a person.

“With grit, determination, faith and the support of extraordinary people, it is possible to fight this disease while continuing to embrace the work, relationships and sense of purpose that make you who you are,” Wiles wrote.

“For me, that means serving my president and my country. I will always be grateful to President Donald Trump for the kindness and compassion while I was undergoing treatment.”
