One of the women accused of being part of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein’s sickening inner circle is claiming the twosome “shopped her around” for sex at Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago club.

Rina Oh — who Virginia Roberts claims was an Epstein recruiter — says she was groomed by the twosome and suffered sexual abuse at Epstein’s hands.

“It was Ghislaine and Jeffrey together. It was like I was being groomed to be someone else’s mistress,” Oh told The UK Sun , adding she met Epstein in 2000 when she was 21 and fresh off a relationship with a long-term beau.

“It felt like they were soliciting me. That’s when I started realizing that something was awfully wrong. Up until then, I was very naïve,” Oh told the tabloid.

“Jeffrey and Ghislaine carried themselves like a king and queen — and lived that way too.”

She was told Epstein was interested in her art.

“He had his own island, a beautiful house and he was a great art collector. I bought my art portfolio and I showed it to him,” Oh said.

“The following day, his secretary told me Jeff loved my artwork and that he wanted to offer me a scholarship. That was the way he manipulated me into coming back. It escalated from then. I was so young I didn’t realize it was sexual abuse.”

Oh has filed a lawsuit against Roberts, who said the New Jersey mother-of-two should be in jail like her benefactor Maxwell.

Maxwell was convicted of five of six sex trafficking charges and faces decades in prison.

And she’ll be doing it without her mysterious tech titan hubby, British newspapers reported. Much younger Scott Borgeson, 46, reportedly dumped Epstein’s muse for a yoga teacher in a phone call before her trial even began.

Maxwell got the heave ho while in solitary confinement.

“There was a dramatic phone call between them, while she was in jail in solitary confinement. It became confrontational,” a source told the Mail on Sunday . “Scott told her he had moved on and was seeing someone else. The marriage was past tense there and then. It’s over. The marriage was over before the trial started,” the source reportedly insisted.”

He was absent from Maxwell’s trial. His new paramour is a yoga enthusiast who “has an ass that could crack open a walnut,” one admirer previously told the New York Post .

Meanwhile, the famed Grenadier Guards regiment in the UK who trace their roots back almost 500 years and fought in nearly every British conflict from the War of Spanish Succession to the Second World War to Afghanistan, want to kick Prince Andrew to the curb.

Andrew is smack in the middle of the Epstein-Maxwell affair. Pals with both, Roberts has launched a civil suit against the Duke claiming she was forced to have sex with him three times when she was underage. The prince has denied any wrongdoing.

Selling that narrative has not been easy.

“Events are moving very quickly. The Duke of York could be forced to give up all of his military titles in a matter of weeks’, adding that Andrew’s friendship with Maxwell and Epstein was ‘toxic’ and made his position ‘untenable’,” a source told the Daily Express.

Members of regiment now say they “are uncomfortable having to drink to the health of Prince Andrew at the end of regimental dinners”.

NEW YORK — New York state’s attorney general is demanding that two of Donald Trump’s adult children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, testify in her civil probe into the former U.S. president’s business practices and namesake company.

Article content

Subpoenas to the Trumps from the office of Attorney General Letitia James were disclosed in a Monday filing with a New York state court in Manhattan.

Donald Trump has also been subpoenaed to testify under oath.

Lawyers for the family late Monday asked a judge who has overseen disputes related to the probe to quash James’ “unprecedented and unconstitutional” bid for their testimony.

Alternatively, they asked the judge to block the subpoenas until Manhattan’s district attorney finishes a related criminal probe that James joined last May.

James’ subpoenas reflect an escalation of her nearly three-year probe into whether the Trump Organization fraudulently inflated the values of its real estate holdings to obtain bank loans, and reduced their values to lower its tax bills.

The probe has focused on properties including the Seven Springs Estate in Westchester County, New York, a downtown Manhattan office building, the Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles and the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago.

Alina Habba, a lawyer for Donald Trump, in an emailed statement accused James, a Democrat, of having “weaponized her office” through a “political witch hunt” that violates the former Republican president’s constitutional rights.

“Her actions are a threat to our democracy and I plan to hold her accountable to the fullest extent,” Habba said.

Another adult son of Donald Trump, Eric Trump, was questioned by James’ office in October 2020.

Donald Trump turned over the Trump Organization to his adult sons and the company’s longtime chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, when he became president in 2017.

Ivanka Trump also worked for the Trump Organization, before serving in the White House as a senior adviser.

‘IMPROPER END-RUN’

James’ civil probe is separate from the criminal probe now led by new Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg into the Trump Organization’s business practices.

Weisselberg and the company pleaded not guilty in that probe in July to charges they ran what a prosecutor called a “sweeping and audacious” tax fraud in which company executives were awarded “off-the-books” benefits over 15 years.

In their Monday court filing, lawyers for the Trumps accused James of trying to circumvent the grand jury process by obtaining testimony in her civil probe that could be used against the family in the criminal probe.

“The subpoenas are an obvious improper end-run around the rules,” the lawyers wrote.

James responded by accusing the Trumps of continually employing “delay tactics” to impede her probe, and that “despite their names” they must follow the same rules as everyone else.

“Our investigation will continue undeterred,” she pledged.

Bragg was sworn in on Saturday as district attorney to succeed fellow Democrat Cyrus Vance, who led that office for 12 years and began his probe in 2018.

Last month, Bragg told CNN that he plans to be personally involved in the criminal probe, and wanted his top lawyers on the case to stay on.

Donald Trump and the Trump Organization separately sued James in December in federal court in Albany, the state capital, to halt her civil probe.

They accused her of trying to “harass, intimidate, and retaliate against a private citizen who she views as a political opponent.”

Donald Trump and his adult children have not been accused of criminal wrongdoing, and James cannot file criminal charges because her probe is civil.

Representative Bennie Thompson, the committee’s chairman, and Liz Cheney, its vice chair, on Tuesday sent a letter requesting Hannity voluntarily answer questions about matters including his communications with Trump, Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows and others in the days surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021 attack.

The letter added that Hannity’s communications suggested he “had knowledge of concerns by President Trump’s White House Counsel’s Office regarding the legality of the former President’s plans for January 6th.”

Hannity did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The lawmakers said they have dozens of text messages between Hannity, Meadows and others “related to the 2020 election and President Trump’s efforts to contest the outcome of the vote.”

“At this time, we are specifically focused on a series of your communications with President Trump, White House staff and President Trump’s legal team between December 31, 2020, and January 20, 2021,” Cheney and Thompson wrote to Hannity.

The lawmakers said Hannity’s communications were not subject to any kind of privilege and were related to the issues being probed by the committee.

More than 100 police officers were injured during the multi-hour onslaught at the Capitol on Jan. 6 by Trump supporters who were seeking to overturn his defeat in the presidential election, which Trump falsely claimed was a result of widespread fraud. One officer who battled rioters died the day after the attack and four who guarded the Capitol later died by suicide. Four rioters also died. More than 700 people have been arrested in connection with the Capitol assault.

Trump said in a statement that he would instead discuss many of the same topics he would have addressed at the news conference at a rally in Arizona on Jan. 15.

Thousands of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, in the worst assault on Congress since the War of 1812. Fuelled by Trump’s false claims that his November 2020 election defeat was the result of fraud, the rioters tried to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s victory.

One police officer who responded to the scene died the day after the attack, while four others who guarded the Capitol died later by suicide. About 140 police officers were injured during the hours-long attack. Four rioters also died. More than 700 people have been charged with joining in the assault.

The violence led to Trump’s second impeachment and numerous investigations. One of them, in the House of Representatives, is seeking to question influential Fox News television personality Sean Hannity about text messages with Trump, his aides and his lawyers during that time.

Defence argues against evaluation for woman accused of sending poison to Trump

"(Pascale) Ferrier has not exhibited any irrational behaviour during the course of these proceedings," wrote a lawyer for the St-Hubert woman.

A defence lawyer representing Pascale Ferrier, the St-Hubert woman charged with threatening to kill Donald Trump while he was the U.S. president, is calling the prosecution’s request to have Ferrier undergo a psychiatric evaluation “a fishing expedition.”

Ferrier was arrested on Sept. 20, 2020 when she showed up at a border crossing in Buffalo, N.Y. and told U.S. border agents she was the person behind a threatening letter that contained the poison ricin and was addressed to Trump at the White House. The letter was intercepted on Sept. 18, 2020 when it arrived at the White House mail sorting facility, and the Secret Service turned it over to the FBI.

Ferrier, a dual citizen of Canada and France, showed up at the border shortly after the FBI connected the letter addressed to Trump to six similar letters sent to police and prison officials in Texas, where Ferrier was detained in March 2019. Ferrier’s fingerprints were found on four of the six letters sent to Texas.

She faces several charges in two U.S. district courts related to the letters. In November, the prosecution in the case in Washington, D.C. requested that Ferrier undergo a 30-day psychiatric evaluation to determine if she is fit to stand trial. The prosecution described her behaviour while detained as “disruptive” and alleged she threatened to kill a woman she called in February.

The results of the evaluation would be presented to a judge for a competency hearing to determine if Ferrier is able to assist a lawyer in her case.

The issue is likely to be addressed during Ferrier’s next appearance in court, a status hearing scheduled for Friday.

Federal public defender A.J. Kramer recently filed Ferrier’s reply to the prosecution’s request. The defence lawyer questioned the timing of the request, noting the issue of Ferrier’s mental health was not raised during previous court dates during which she made important decisions related to her case. He also noted Ferrier has not been charged with threatening the woman she called.

“Ms. Ferrier has not exhibited any irrational behaviour during the course of these proceedings and her demeanour at all times has been completely coherent,” Kramer wrote in the 10-page letter.

“Misconstruing the competency inquiry with a fishing expedition relating to a possible insanity defence — a defence which has not been raised by the defence — the government seeks solely to invade the defence camp and create an opportunity for its experts at the Bureau of Prisons to have access to the defendant.

“The test for competency is whether the accused has sufficient present ability to consult with (her) lawyer with a reasonable degree of rational understanding and whether (she) has a rational as well as a factual understanding of the proceedings against (her).”

Kramer cited precedent while arguing the purpose of a competency hearing “relates to the accused’s present mental state during the legal proceedings.”

“An accused may have been insane at the time of the alleged offence, and yet competent to stand trial, and likewise, an accused could have been sane at the time of the alleged offence, but incompetent to understand the legal proceedings and to assist counsel.”

In a reply to Kramer’s letter, U.S. attorney Matthew Graves wrote that lawyers on both sides of the case “communicated about the competency issues as early as April 26, 2021” and that “those discussions continued in subsequent months.”

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will tell Americans that his predecessor, Donald Trump, carries “singular responsibility” for the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol when he marks the first anniversary of the assault on Thursday, the White House said. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, both Democrats, will speak on Thursday morning at the U.S. Capitol, one year after a mob loyal to Trump raided the complex in a failed attempt to stop the certification of Electoral College votes that officially delivered Biden’s election victory.

Biden and his top aides have been reluctant to talk directly about Trump since the former senator took office last January, even as the Republican former president continued to spread lies about his election loss, and Democrats, historians and civil rights activists have grown increasingly concerned about the future of the nearly 250-year-old representative democracy.

Thursday’s speech comes after Biden spent months encouraging Americans to unite against the COVID-19 pandemic and rebuild together after weather disasters.

On Thursday, Biden will “lay out the significance of what happened in the Capitol and the singular responsibility President Trump has for the chaos and carnage that we saw and he will forcibly push back on the lies spread by the former president in an attempt to mislead the American people and his own supporters as well as distract from his role in what happened,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said.

Trump cancelled a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida that had been scheduled for Thursday evening, blaming what he called the “bias and dishonesty” of the House of Representatives probe of the attacks and the news media, a favourite target.

Taylor Budowich, a Trump spokesperson, said it was “unsurprising” that Biden would spend Jan. 6th “trying to further divide our nation, adding “division is the only thing Democrats know how to do.”

Four people died on the day of the riot, and one Capitol police officer died the day after defending Congress. Dozens of police were injured during the multi-hour onslaught by Trump supporters, and four officers have since taken their own lives.

The White House said Biden would push back against Trump’s false claims, adopted by many of his followers, that his election defeat was the result of widespread fraud, and attempts to downplay the worst assault on the Capitol since the War of 1812.

Biden has been “clear eyed about the threat the former president represents to our democracy,” Psaki said, “and how the former president constantly works to constantly undermine basic American values and rule of law.”

She added that the president sees the deadly attacks as a “tragic culmination of what those four years under President Trump did to our country.”

Harris will use her remarks to “outline that the American experiment is being tested, and that we must work to secure voting rights, ensure free and fair elections and safeguard our democracy for generations to come,” an administration official said.

Biden to call out Trump's 'singular responsibility' for Jan. 6 attacks

Ahhh yes........TDS is alive and well.

They are showing video of the so called attack on the news this morning. The video shows people milling around laughing and joking. The only weapons shown are the ones of the Capital police. Maybe they should compare it to the various peaceful demonstrations on state and federal buildings by BLM and Antifa members.....but they won't.

Fucking joke

Former President Donald Trump’s new media venture plans to launch its social media app Truth Social on Feb. 21, according to an Apple Inc App Store listing.

TRUTH Social, the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) alternative to Twitter, is available for pre-order before going live on the U.S. Presidents’ Day holiday.

Similar to Twitter, the app offers features to follow other people and trending topics, according to demo photos.

The app’s launch would come 13 months after Meta Platforms Inc’s Facebook and Twitter banned Trump for encouraging his supporters to participate in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol based on unsubstantiated claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Marking the one-year anniversary of the attack , U.S. President Joe Biden said on Thursday that his predecessor’s false claims could unravel the rule of law and subvert future elections.

TMTG and Apple did not respond to requests for comment, but a source familiar with the matter confirmed that Feb. 21 is the planned launch date of the app.

The launch is expected to be the first of three stages in TMTG’s development. The second would be a subscription video-on-demand service called TMTG+ with entertainment, news and podcasts, according to the company website. A November investor presentation indicated that TMTG also wants to launch a podcast network.

TMTG is currently valued at $4.3 billion based on the stock price of Digital World Acquisition Corp. TMTG agreed in October to merge with the blank-check firm at a valuation of $875 million.

Trump supporters and retail investors have snapped up Digital World’s stock, betting that Trump’s popularity with his Republican political base will translate into commercial runaway success.

The blank-check acquisition deal faces regulatory risk. Democratic U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren asked Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler last month to investigate the planned merger for potential violations of securities laws around disclosure. The SEC has declined to comment on whether it plans any action.

TMTG last month raised an additional $1 billion from private investors.

Trump cancelled a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida that had been scheduled for Jan. 6, marking the one-year anniversary of the Capitol attack. He said he will instead deliver remarks at a rally in Arizona on Jan. 15.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Thursday accused his predecessor Donald Trump of spreading a “web of lies” to undermine U.S. democracy in a speech on the anniversary of the deadly Capitol attack by Trump supporters who tried to undo his 2020 election defeat.

Story continues below
Article content

Speaking at the white-domed building where rioters smashed windows, assaulted police and sent lawmakers fleeing for their lives on Jan. 6, 2021, Biden said Trump’s false claims that the election was stolen from him through widespread voting fraud could unravel the rule of law and subvert future elections.

“A former president of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He’s done so because he values power over principle,” Biden said. “He can’t accept he lost.”

Biden never actually uttered his predecessor’s name during the 25-minute speech, telling reporters afterward he was trying to focus on the threats to America’s political system instead of Trump himself.

The tone, including a poke at Trump’s “bruised ego,” was a departure for Biden, who has focused during most of his first year in office on pursuing his own agenda. Trump issued three statements in the hours following his successor’s remarks accusing Biden of trying to divide the country and repeating his false election claims.

Article content

Trump’s behaviour over the past year, like his conduct in office, has been norm-shattering. Unlike other former U.S. presidents denied re-election, Trump has refused to accept the verdict of the voters and pressured fellow Republicans to somehow overturn the results, without success.

His false claims have provided cover for Republicans at the state level to pass new restrictions on voting that they have said are needed to fight fraud. Research shows such fraud is extremely rare in U.S. elections.

Biden’s fellow Democrats, a few Republicans and many independent experts have said Trump’s continued denials could make it less likely that future U.S. transfers of power will be peaceful – especially those involving closer margins than the 2020 election that Biden won by 7 million votes nationwide.

The speech illustrated that Biden and other Democrats remain wary of Trump’s political staying power. In the riot’s immediate aftermath, even some Republicans thought his grip on their party had been shaken, but since then Trump has only tightened it.

“Our democracy is very fragile, and the cult of The Big Lie is still very much in action with the help of the vast majority of our colleagues on the other side, who continue to try to rewrite or ignore history,” Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal said at a later event.

‘CULT OF PERSONALITY’

Just two Republicans were spotted at a House of Representatives session marking the riot’s anniversary: Representative Liz Cheney, who has been shunned by party colleagues after criticizing Trump, and her father Dick Cheney, who served as vice president under President George W. Bush.

Story continues below
Article content

“A party that is in thrall to a cult of personality is a party that is dangerous to the country,” Liz Cheney told reporters on her way out of the Capitol.

Dick Cheney told reporters that current party leaders do not resemble “any of the folks I knew” when he served in Congress.

America’s next federal election is in November, with Republicans favored to retake a majority in at least one of the two chambers of Congress. That could cripple Biden’s ability to advance policy and set the stage for two years of legislative gridlock before a potential 2024 Biden-Trump rematch.

According to Reuters/Ipsos polling, 55% of Republican voters believe Trump’s false claims, which were rejected by dozens of courts, state election departments and members of his own administration.

Four people died in the hours-long chaos after Trump urged supporters to march to the Capitol and “fight like hell.” One police officer died on that day after battling rioters and four later died by suicide. Around 140 police officers were injured. U.S. prosecutors have brought criminal charges against at least 725 people linked to the riot.

Trump remains highly popular among Republican voters and is working to shape the field of Republican candidates in the Nov. 8 congressional elections. Public filings show Trump has stockpiled at least $98 million in fundraising accounts.

Most Republican officeholders have remained loyal to Trump, and some have sought to play down the riot. Biden said it was hypocritical for them to question the presidential election’s outcome while accepting Republican victories in congressional and state-level races that day.

Liz Cheney is one of only two Republican members of a House committee investigating the riot, which in recent weeks has unearthed records showing Trump allies urging him to call off the rioters as the attack was unfolding. Biden criticized Trump for “watching it all on television and doing nothing for hours.”

Other Republicans accused Democrats of exploiting the anniversary for partisan gain.

“What brazen politicization of Jan. 6 by President Biden,” said Senator Lindsey Graham, who has reversed his position on Trump numerous times including criticizing him after the riot and then reverting to defending him.

Dabney L. Friedrich, a federal judge in Washington, D.C., today denied a motion from Pascale Ferrier for the return of the money, which was seized when she was arrested at the United States border in September 2021.

Lawyers representing Ferrier, who is detained in a Washington prison, argued during a virtual court appearance that she needs the money to buy such items as shampoo, undergarments and additional food, as well as to call her family in Canada.

But the judge sided with a federal prosecutor, who argued the money is evidence that could be presented in court.

Prosecutor Michael Friedman also said a sealed filing relating to actions Ferrier is alleged to have taken after her arrest suggests returning the money could pose a public safety risk.

Friedman has asked the court to order Ferrier to undergo a 30-day mental health evaluation, a motion that has been opposed by the defence. Friedrich did not rule on that request today, asking the prosecution to provide more information about how long the evaluation would take.

According to a criminal complaint unsealed on Monday, Thomas Welnicki, of Rockaway Beach, New York, expressed his interest in killing Trump in a July 2020 interview with U.S. Capitol Police and in several phone calls in 2021 to the Secret Service.

Trump is identified as “Individual-1” in the complaint, which was filed in Brooklyn federal court. A footnote says Individual-1 was U.S. president from Jan. 20, 2017, to Jan. 20, 2021.

An arrest warrant was issued for Welnicki on Friday. His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn had no immediate additional comment.
