Um. . . Americans don't have to vote for these candidates. We don't have mandatory voting. And there are other candidates.

Hope that helped.

Sure, you can stay home and finish your knitting or write in Mickey Mouse. But that still doesn't make you like the big 2 any more.

Don't they usually?

I think in the past, a majority has usually found one or the other palatable.

I love Trump. He's the best candidate in decades.

Maybe- I'm a little slow jumping to THAT conclusion! He has a lot more potential than the alternative, depending on whether he will use it. If he could put his mouth on a 7 second delay, I think he'll do quite well.

Trump-Maples engagement ring fetches $300,000 at auction

NEW YORK -- A large diamond engagement ring that Donald Trump gave his second wife has sold for $300,000 at a New York City auction.
The 7.45-carat emerald-cut, Harry Winston-designed ring is about the size of a postage stamp. It was bought on Wednesday by an anonymous phone bidder.
Actress and TV personality Marla Maples had sold the ring at auction for $110,000 after she and Trump divorced in 1999.
The American couple who bought it has asked the same auctioneer, Joseph DuMouchelle (doo-moo-SHEL'), to sell it.
DuMouchelle says he's thrilled the ring sold for its estimated price and he hopes the new owner will enjoy the "rarity of its beauty."
Trump and Maples were married in 1993 in a lavish ceremony at The Plaza hotel.

Brit indicted in botched attempt to shoot Trump in Las Vegas
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LAS VEGAS -- A British man who authorities say tried to grab a police officer's gun to shoot presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at a Las Vegas campaign rally was indicted Wednesday on federal criminal charges that, together, could get him up to 30 years in prison.
A grand jury on Wednesday charged Michael Steven Sandford, 20, with disrupting an official function and two firearm possession counts, U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden said.
Sandford's arraignment was scheduled July 6 in Las Vegas. He remained in federal custody, and his lawyer didn't immediately respond Wednesday to messages seeking comment.
Federal agents say Sandford told them he drove to Las Vegas from San Bernardino, California, with a plan to kill Trump, and went to a Las Vegas gun range to learn to shoot the day before Trump appeared at the Treasure Island hotel-casino on June 18.
The U.S. Secret Service says Sandford approached a Las Vegas police officer at the Trump campaign stop at the 1,500-seat Mystere Theatre, said he wanted Trump's autograph, then grabbed for the officer's gun.
Sandford, who was unemployed, is accused of overstaying his U.S. entry visa by about nine months. Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer against him to take action on the immigration violation if he's released from jail.
Sandford's father, Paul Davey of Havant, England, told the British newspaper Portsmouth News his son was polite and peaceful and must have been under the influence of someone else. He said his son moved to New Jersey a year and a half ago to be with a girlfriend. He called his son's arrest an absolute shock.
Others who knew Sandford told The Associated Press that he was intelligent and that signs of his Asperger's syndrome had become more obvious as he got older.
He had been treated in the past for obsessive compulsive disorder and anorexia, and was reported to be living out of his car before his arrest, according to attorneys and accounts from a family friend in England.
U.S. Magistrate Judge George Foley Jr. acknowledged during Sandford's first court appearance in Las Vegas that Sandford's mental health may be an issue.
Sandford's appointed lawyer, Heather Fraley, said Sandford previously attempted suicide and once ran away from a hospital in England.
However, Fraley said she believed Sandford is competent for trial.

NEW YORK -- Police say a naked man shouting about presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump jumped off the back of a large grandstand in Times Square above the booth where discounted Broadway tickets are sold.
Police say the man was conscious after the jump of about 16 feet off the TKTS booth. They say the man sustained a cut on his elbow and was in stable condition when taken to a hospital. Officials say he'll undergo psychiatric evaluation.
Police say officers were trying to talk the man down from the iconic red stairs over the ticket booth when he jumped Thursday at about 8 a.m.
The man fell to the ground, missing an emergency air bag set up by first responders.
The man had been shouting "Donald Trump where are you?"
Police say the man had earlier been spotted a few blocks away.
