The ones Jesus was addressing in Matthew 23 were a bit more than hypocrites. They are the ones behind the plot to kill Jesus and their 'fathers' would have been the ones responsible for the exile into Neb's Babylon. If you compare the description to the harlot in Revelation you will find all the points in her description match only one entity in all of the Bible, wayward Israel. The 144,000 are sealed so there would be somebody from the 12 Tribes to witness the return. When God determines you will be a widow that is what happens.
Re:18:7:
How much she hath glorified herself,
and lived deliciously,
so much torment and sorrow give her:
for she saith in her heart,
I sit a queen,
and am no widow,
and shall see no sorrow.
La:1:1:
How doth the city sit solitary,
that was full of people!
how is she become as a widow!
she that was great among the nations,
and princess among the provinces,
how is she become tributary!
La:1:2:
She weepeth sore in the night,
and her tears are on her cheeks:
among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her:
all her friends have dealt treacherously with her,
they are become her enemies.
Ro:11:25:
For I would not,
brethren,
that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel,
until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
I would like to point out I am at least posting some Scripture, that you would have to find it logical is asking a bit much of this reader.
Guess where I read that part??
