But then again if someone wipes you off the fricken map, none of it will matter anyway, the jets we didn't buy or the other stuff we didn't get a chance to buy.

That seems about as likely as being struck by an asteroid. We should spend tens of billions on that while we're on the subject of far out risks.

Hatred?

Contempt?

No, not really....lack of respect and disappointment perhaps.

Even you can admit that unions are out dated and out moded but here you are defending them.

We all know that they are rightfully a dying breed.

Heck, you even hate the idea of minimum wage.

I can fully agree with you on that....let the market determine the minimum.

You don't read too good. I have no problem with people who knock unions - what I have a problem with is people who knock employees- all they are trying to do is put grub on the table and keep a roof over their heads. I really think it would be in your best interest to change that faggy avatar.

JLM: you seem to have a "stalker" who logs on only when you post, then logs off after after taunting you one more time:p

I'm retired have no set hours- maybe I'll start setting my alarm for 2 A.M. "Taunting" is not quite the word- "entertained" by his ignorance maybe more fitting. But even that is wearing thin as he is so predictable, but that tends to happen when people have only one or two ideas.

One thing at a time- after the earth quake proofing is done.

You can make an argument for corporate tax rate reduction and might have convincing arguments. The counter-argument is just as convincing. There are studies pointing both ways, although I think the studies showing lowering tax rate doesn't create jobs - seem more convincing. In general, if you wanna tackle this issue, you have to realize that middle class is splitting, the poor are increasing, more and more CEOs get rich. Of curse it's only logical that money comes from the middle society. Which one of these parties has the ballz to address the wealth gap? You have to start taxing the rich!

I don't knock hard working amployees, which is why I knock union members.

Lazy bums.

I really think it would be in your best interest to change that faggy avatar.

You first.

You first.

Don't paint everyone with the same brush.......not all unions are a pain, not all union members do no work.

To adopt such polarity is infantile.

First the current stock of F-18's are more than adequate for another 10-15 years, a

that MAY be so, I don't pretend to be an expert on arms you can't carry. But if you want them replaced in 10 or 15 years, you need to buy NOW.

In the Count's platform...

In an important revelation, the Liberals now intend not only to scrap the F-35 fighter program, but to defer replacing the aging fleet of CF-18s until “it is necessary.”

With new platform, Liberals chart course back to Trudeauville - The Globe and Mail

Trudeauville???

Vote Conservative.

True, which is why I worry about fringe supporters of any stripe. They muddy the waters with half truths, red herrings and outright lies, like Liberalmans claim Conservative campaign workers had deface Ryan Keon's signage.

Do you have a clear definition of better or are you just repeating what you've herd in one of there speach?
I have a list of over 200 acts of illegal and unethical Liberal acts. What do you have?

And I hope you aren't confusing me for a Conservative. I was called a "pinko" just yesterday.

Not to mention simply self loathing or worse...

Well I have been a full member of CUPE for over a decade and have never recieved one phone call or letter mail from them.....not once.

I find this one particularly ironic...

Interesting as I am a member of the same union and get no calls wanting support for anything, perhaps you are lying..

This is somewhat true.

Nothing wrong with the police unions at all.

Brave citizens keeping the peace.

All other unions are obsolete, they teach people not to work in an era where competition is fierce.

Do you honestly believe the military-industrial complex will let anything change?

Please.

The lemmings have already cast their vote and it will either be a slight conservative majority or the same thing last time around. There's not enough intel to pass the message through the media or the attack ads these parties have put in place.

That's so depressing.

It used to be if things were seriously messed up one could choose to emigrate somewhere else, but it's all gone.

Nothing wrong with the police unions at all.

Except when they back their members who kill helpless people in airports for not speaking english or kick people in the face as they are trying to surrender or all the other illegal acts they commit regularly.

Brave citizens keeping the peace.
Keeping the peace...occasionally. Ususally they are doing some strong-arm collection for the government mob protection racket or sitting in Timmys eating donuts.

Another good thing is, should you ever need a cop, you'll know where to find one.

Because if you can't find a Timmies, well then you're not in Canada. :)

"Prime Minister Stephen Harper was visiting a primary school and he visited one of the classes.

They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings.

The teacher asked the PM if he would like to lead the discussion on the word 'tragedy'. So the illustrious leader asked the class for an example of a 'tragedy'.

One little boy stood up and offered: 'If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him, that would be a tragedy.'

'No,' said Harper, 'that would be an accident.'

A little girl raised her hand: 'If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy.'

'I'm afraid not,' explained Harper.
'That's what we would call great loss.'

The room went silent. No other children volunteered.

Harper searched the room.

'Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?'

Finally at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand...

In a quiet voice he said: 'If the plane carrying you and Mrs. Harper was struck by a 'friendly fire' missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy.'

'Fantastic!' exclaimed Harper. That's right.

And can you tell me why that would be tragedy?'

'Well,' says the Little Johnny, 'It has to be a tragedy, because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss, and it probably wouldn't be a ****ing accident either'."

That's a misnomer- this happened several years ago here in B.C. and the object was Premier Campbell. Try to keep up to date.
