Our resident LIE-beral LOON HOID tells us that everybody has a problem with plastic bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As usual HOID is full of LIE-beral SH+T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take a walk down to the local dog park and get a good look at the dog walkers with their pockets BULGING with plastic bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They use plastic bags to "stoop and scoop" after their dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And when I was running my carpentry biz- I was ALWAYS on the hunt for free plastic bags that I could shovel shavings and sawdust into!!!!!!!!!!
At one time about 15 years ago all the local supermarkets had bins out front where you could dump used plastic bags and from there the bags could be recycled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but then govt banned plastic bags for a few years and the bins disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But now the plastic bags are back in use but the bins have NOT reappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHY NOT????????????????????????????????????????
Shall we ask if recycling plastic bags is no more successful than recycling assorted plastic and glass containers???????????
No doubt you will recall me mentioning the City Tv interview at the local recycling station in which the manager held up a glass bottle that had formerly held tomato sauce and told us:::::::
"This glass bottle CANNOT be recycled because it is contaminated with food waste"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recycling of plastic and glass items is a COSTLY FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AS govt grudgingly admits................................only 11 percent of it was actually recycled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that was BEFORE China stopped accepting western recycling material!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The TRUE RATE of recycled material is now WELL BELOW 11 percent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And BANNING of plastic items such as plastic bags simply persuades people to get angry with meddling govt and invites people to use other even less environmentally sensitive methods!!!!
When govt banned free plastic shopping bags- I had to go purchase plastic bags for my workplace waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thus- just as many bags being used......................I merely had to turn to the more costly source of supply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
