Shows what you know. My wife's family is from Saskatistan and I may be moving there soon. I hear they have decided to get indoor plumbing and I work in utilities so there seems to be opportunities there. Plus, I also hear it isn't as dangerous as Pakistan but, judging from some of the gang stuff Ron has posted, I'm not entirely sure on that one.
Don't forget the floods.

when I first came into the topic, I was just trying to say that Canadians need to stop being intimidated by other countries. have some pride and be outgoing, confident, strong and powerful..

and then I said, despite what many Americans believe "that they're the #1" country .. We are!

and then Eaglesmack decides to analyze and tear it all apart.

Of course you don't hate us Yanks. You just like to rip into us at random.

"they act arrogant and cocky" <-- You say while acting arrogant and cocky.

I am lmao. This can't get any better. Didn't you just berate Cannuck accusing him of talking trash from behind his monitor? But here you are talking trash behind your monitor and saying you wouldn't be stupid enough to say it in public.

Are you listening to yourself?
lmao This is getting funnier. 2 episodes of hypocrisy in one page. lmao

...meanwhile saying he wouldn't be stupid enough to do that while hinting cowardice at Cannuck for NOT doing that.
Yeah, that, too. lmao

I think you mean Manitoba.

they tend to get the floods. Saskatchewan tends to have dry seasons all summer.
?? Regina is in Manitoba?
About the last post I saw Ron in Regina make last night , his lawn was underwater and the water in the streets were above the curbs.

Pretty easily I might add. Not bad for one of those "uneducated and ignorant" Americans eh?

but I can't go and criticize the USA? whatever.

Which shows arrogance and hypocrisy!

Say whatever you want.

So far you are showing yourself to be arrogant and cocky and insulting and ignorant of other countries while accusing the Yanks of being arrogant, cocky, and insulting and ignorant of other countries.

Tell me...

What is wrong with this...

"Americans think they're the greatest... we're the greatest"

Is it arrogant to say that? Cocky? Do you get upset when Yanks say that the US is the greatest and you see no issue with you saying Canada is the greatest?

bull****.

Gosh. Are you really standing by this statement?

Our country is great! ya, sure we have some problems but what country doesn't?

would you rather be like the USA and have all the problems they have? and the history that they've had?

2 assassinated Leaders, racial problems, Civil War over Slavery, Nuclear weapons? being hated by most foreign countries to the point where many travelling American Citizens lie and say they're Canadian?

incredible debts because they love to give money to people?

I'm sure I can go on.

Let's be happy that we are Canadian and that we have what we have! Despite what Those Americans say, THIS IS!! the best Country in the World!

Any idea who said this?

Do Canadians lack confidence?

Some, but most do not.

I find the ones who lack self confidence are the ones who bow at the feet of the USA.

The fact that many Canadians can thumb their noses at a country that could destroy us many times over takes balls and everyone knows nobody is tougher than our Canadian men and women in uniform.:canada:

There is a famous quote about Canadian troops...I'll see if I can find it....

Well I do like someone's suggestion of Beaver Day......kidding. Another re-naming I came across in the re-naming of Stanley park to some native name. Of course our politicians say they are considering it too!! Why the hell can't we have the balls to say NO!

At least Saskatchewan is a part of Canadian topic. I have no idea why you even brought up the States in a topic about Canadians. Dum dum dum dum

We did. Both hubby and I sent emails to Harpy and Co. telling them they need a reality check if they think spending taxpayers' money on changing anthems, names of parks, names of mountains, etc. instead of doing something useful with the money. We got replies back saying the matters had been dropped.
So, not all Canucks apathetically sit on their butts expecting everyone else to "do something" and then whine about it in forums. lol

If we (our gov officials and media) would only refrain from emulating and in the process blindly kissing American ass, we just might appear to show some confidence. Otherwise we as a nation will remain the wimps and a joke, in the eyes of the world.

Uhuh. You posted before Eagle and what you posted was this:
I think we as a Country need to stop acting like wimps when it comes to everyone else on the outside.

stop giving in and listening to people's whining.

Why you even brought up anything about the States in the first place is a mystery, unless you are jealous or bitter about the States.
Again, this thread is about Canada and Canadians.

Everyone knows that? I highly doubt that. Some Brit said the brits are the toughest soldiers the other day in fact.

We can put JBee in the no confidence category I think.

I highly doubt rest of the world thinks of Canada as a joke or a nation of wimps.

A guy that walks around and says...

"Everyone thinks we're wimps"

...surely lacks confidence.

Canada rocks. I've only been out of the country once, and it was a drive through New England. I have no idea if Canada is the best country in the world. I have a very limited frame of reference. But it's given me all I need, and that's good enough for me and the folks I roll with. I would like to visit some more countries though.
