Blue checkmarks and Democrats took to Twitter on Thursday to condemn a call for violence against Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the people in his administration. The quote in question, however, was actually a call to violence against former President Donald Trump and his supporters from U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., that a Twitter troll account called “Cuomo Watch” satirically modified to say “Cuomo.”
"‘If you see anybody from the Cuomo Administration in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.’ -Maxine CuomoWatch,” the tweet reads.

Soon after the tweet was shared, prominent New York politicians, blue checkmarks, and Democrats in other states took to Twitter to condemn the call to action.
“This is appalling and dangerous. Encouraging violence must never be tolerated. Shame on whoever is behind this kind of garbage,” the speaker of the New York State Assembly wrote.

"This is beyond outrageous,” a state senator added in her retweet. “Two weeks ago we saw what happened when arsonists throw gas around. Twitter should ban this dude now!”

"This is dangerous, reprehensible and has no place in any public discussion. Oh, and spare me the ‘someone else did it too’ excuse. Someone else saying a variation of this doesn’t change the fact that this is seeking to incite violence against a public official and their staff,” another assemblyman shared.

“@CuomoWatch We will not tolerate threats against public officials by radical extremists in this city or state. There is no room for violence or targeting against anyone, especially public servants. Not after what happened in D.C. I will be alerting appropriate authorities,” the borough president of Manhattan tweeted.

U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., even spoke out, saying he was “appalled” by the call to action after living through the “insurrection against the US Congress.”
“We must all denounce in no uncertain terms any attempt at inciting political violence,” he shared in a now-deleted tweet.

Cuomo’s senior adviser Rich Azzopardi also spread the misinformation, retweeting people’s condemnations and even accusing Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., and her staff, without presenting evidence, of condoning violence against the governor.

When confronted about the legitimacy of the tweet and the true source of the quote, the legislators either deleted their tweets or attempted to defend their double-standard on political violence.
“I see what they did,” wrote state Sen. Diane Savino, “but that was then and this is now, and 4 years of Trump has led to words becoming weapons. We can’t just ignore them anymore, people take them as a call to violent actions.”(what a f*cking piece of clueless hypocritical shit)

Cuomo’s office did not respond to The Federalist’s request for clarification on whether they still condemn the comments now that they know who originally made them. Instead, in his press conference on Friday, Cuomo blamed the internet and the troll who created the post.
“When you see the ugliness being fomented for selfish political reasons, everyone should condemn it. … We all know who spreads the ugliness on the Internet,” Cuomo says. (Yep, Maxine Waters and the Democraps)
Many Democrats have a history of calling for violence against Trump and his supporters including Cuomo, who recently said that he “would’ve decked” Trump if he weren’t a governor. (Kind'a ironic considering his previous comment)

The outrage over the modified quote also follows a report from the New York attorney general’s office that found that Cuomo and his administration lied about the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes following his policy that sent infected patients into care facilities during the pandemic.

The Demoraps are truly the party of half-witted morons. Expertly trolled by the words of one of their very own. :ROFLMAO:

I certainly don't see that with Biden. Much more of a Trump trait I'm thinking! :)

knowledge to you is water to a rabies sufferer.
your deprogramming is difficult. to realize you grown to the age of 70 and still have the mental capacity of a 10 year old is a hard pill to swallow.

How come they are still hiding him? You would think the mist popular POTUS in US history would be more than happy to visit all his fans
Have you considered he has a lot of work to get through before he's able to start socializing? That would be a good thing!

You just described every commie I've ever met. Programmed from day care, through elementary school (that's grade school to dimwits like you) and high school. Did your mommy and daddy ever interact with you or were they happy to let strangers program you with their beliefs and ideologies? At least I'm a free and critical thinker, unlike the circle-jerking, group think echo chamber you exist in. Have you ever had a job? Ever paid income taxes? Ever got beyond your parents basement you big, bad internet commie warrior? :ROFLMAO:

To be fair, celebrities ALWAYS get more attention. Let's face it, when has the MSM tripped all over anyone on here in real life to get their political opinion, or to announce your marriage, or birth of your first child? Never? Gosh, what a shocker.

Here's the problem. People lie, even to themselves. A few years back a group of news outlets got together and created a survey for their internet readers to ask them to rate in importance the types of news stories they wanted to see. Answers ranged from currents events, to national news, international news, sports, etc etc. However, using tracker data the group found that a lot of those who took the survey tended to go straight for the celebrity "news" before reading anything else and yet only a handful admitted it was the first thing they read. The others put it down near the bottom of the list despite their tendencies to the contrary.

I dunno, I never really got the whole celebrity thing. I mean as far as the whole Lady Gaga thing goes, the only part that was news that mattered was the poor bugger getting shot while walking the dogs. As for the theft of the dogs, big deal. Sadly, people's pets get stolen all the time, The MSM doesn't go rushing off to tell the world about it when it happens to them though.

Many big-money actors are working on pay equity.

But I understand you don't know and don't care, you just want to spew hate at a group you perceive to be "liberal."

Ya, that Maxine Waters is a real "peach" and it was her words being quoted. Nothing like showing how disingenuous one is by making representations that do more harm than good - it's basically lowering ones self to her level of arrogance & lies. Shouldn't & doesn't make one feel "warm & cozy" inside. The individual who made the change to the original talking points of Waters should look in the mirror as they're not helpful contributions at all.

Yes, I'm sure they're busting their asses to make sure there's pay equity in their "profession". I mean, isn't that kind'a one of the purposes of a union? And how long has there been an actor's union? One thing I've noticed about so-called socialists. They love socialism, for everyone else but would prefer to keep their own wealth relatively intact. I also get a giggle out of the socialistic twats who have a problem with a CEO making $20 million a year but don't bat an eyelash when one of their Hollyweird cult heroes makes $20 million a picture.

I disagree. All he did was expose the Democrats (once again) to be the grossly hypocritical pieces of shit they actually are. Several Democrats had little trouble with words of violence against Trump, his administration and his supporters. But boy, they sure had a f*cking problem when the words of one of their own was used against them referring to it as a "Call to violence". Meanwhile Maxine Water first denied saying such a thing and then backtracked and said she was referring to Trump's govt officials and "pushing back" against them. So, it wasn't a call to violence when Waters said it but it was a call to violence when Trump's name was switched out for Cuomo. Once again the Democrats show themselves to be extremely disingenuous hypocrites.
Let me put it this way, in the dangerous world of propaganda and hyperbole, when Hillary labelled Trump supporters a "bag of deplorables", that wasn't just an attempt to demonize and dehumanize them, it was giving tacit approval to attack them. This is what extremists do on either side of the spectrum. By demonizing and dehumanizing your opponents, you're telling your supporters that it's okay to inflict violence on them. As for myself, the only people who deserve political violence are the extremists on both sides. They call for it, they deserve to get it.

Yes, they are. But because, as noted above, you are not interested in learning anything, but rather only in merely venting your ignorance and hatred, I'll spare you the details.
Again, what was the actor's "union" doing all these years? Aren't unions supposed to be, in part, about pay equity and shit? Secondly, you must have some serious search engines because all I can find are the odd example of a male actor taking less pay so his female co-star(s) can make more. That's not what I'd call a "movement".
