Back grounder on who are the yes men in case you've not heard of them. Basically they are a satire group that points out the absurdities in government and corporations claims..........

The Yes Men operate under the mission statement that lies can expose truth. They create and maintain fake websites similar to ones they intend to spoof, which have led to numerous interview, conference, and TV talk show invitations. They espouse the belief that corporations and governmental organizations often act in dehumanizing ways toward the public. Elaborate props are sometimes part of the ruse.

The Yes Men often deploy a satirical approach: they pose as a powerful entity (typically a corporate or government representative or executive) and make ridiculous and shocking comments that caricature the ideological position of the organisation or person.

Furthermore, they acknowledge the idea that many corporate or government entities manipulate their ideology using
spin; in response, the Yes Men use this power of spin to their own advantage, and use media outlets to disseminate their personal interpretation of the situation. A sense of humor and shock value is usually employed to make these issues more palatable to the general public and to call greater media attention to stories of interest. Some of these outrageous ideas include the prospect of selling one's vote or a proposition that the poor should consume recycled human waste.

On most occasions, little to no shock or outrage is publicly evoked in response to their prank.

On occasion, the Yes Men's phony spokesperson will make announcements that represent fictitious scenarios for the anti-globalization movement or opponents of corporate crime. This has often resulted in false news reports, such as those covering the demise of the World Trade Organization, or Dow Chemical paying compensation to the victims of the Bhopal disaster.

The Dems are crap too. They really don't want to let go of the 'benefits' they get from pretending to represent that people.

It's time for a Progressive Party or Progressive people to take over the DNC......

So who's Roy Delfino and why such misguided missives?

This guy must’ve spent some serious time writing up this thing. It’s huge. And it’s just a long list of distortions and straw men. He never argues the issues, of course. In fact, he starts out saying he won’t and that he just thinks Bernie is “a thoroughly awful man”.

Ten Reasons Why Bernie Sanders Must Be Stopped

Bernie is living the good life.

He’s got a top position in the Democratic Party. He gets hailed every day as the vanguard of the next generation. The news media treats him as the leader of the left. Meanwhile, even his biggest critics have suggested it’s time to “put the primary behind us” and kiss the ring of our new progressive champion. Those who would criticize Sanders are told to stay silent for the sake of “unity.”

Anyone who has read my articles knows I’m just sick of Bernie. This isn’t because of policy disagreements, or lingering bitterness from the primary. I just think he’s a thoroughly awful man. He has shown his deceitful, selfish and vindictive nature time and time again. I am stunned by how frequently I still hear people call Bernie “honest” or “authentic.” When I mention my arguments against Bernie to these people, I find they are often unfamiliar with the reality of the man and have this mental image of him as a stubbornly-principled saint.

We do not have time for this fantasy. Bernie Sanders was a tremendously destructive force in American politics in 2016, continues to inflict damage on the Democratic Party, and has already begun making moves for a 2020 run. It is time for the public to have an open-eyed examination of the man’s character, history, record and public statements.

You Should be Hung in a Public Execution” How Violence and Conspiracies Define the Bernie Movement

This is not, however, the first act of violence by a Bernie supporter. Far from it. From leading violent anti-Trump riots in Chicago, to sending death threats to superdelegates, to forcing superdelegate Jim McDermott to defend himself with a shovel against a Bernie fan threatening to cut out his tongue, violence has long been a hallmark of Bernie’s movement. And the violence pales in comparison to the endless torrent of conspiracy theories one hears in Bernie circles, from claims of a rigged primary to allegations that Hillary Clinton murdered Seth Rich. How has this sort of behavior come to be so characteristic of the Bernie movement?

I have only one response to these articles….

It's quite clear that Americans want nationalist and populist economic policies.. those are nationalist, populist, dirigiste and progressive. They just don't want the rancid victim ideologies that define the Democrats priorities... in feminism, racism, homosexuality, immigration.. and at the expense of the American working family.. and in favour of a post moral cultural wilderness. If the Dems can't get over that, they will never rebuild the FDR or Kennedy electoral constituencies. Trump's appeal is that he is an antiCandidate to the global corporate and cultural post structural lobbies which define the Establishments of Both parties.

I wonder if the powerful, back room Dems are working on a plan to right the ship? It seems inconceivable that they are not working on something.

The ebb and flow of politics demands periodic changes. Perhaps they are waiting for the rank and file Dems to tire before implementing a plan. I wonder when the ernest reconstruction will begin?

Just throwing a random thought out there.

The Democrat Party is in the midst of a schism. The Alt Left and the Establishment Democrats are in a battle for the soul of the party.

Indeed, but the unfortunate part is that we will never know what is being done behind closed doors.

It's nothing that anyone that's not part of the inner circle can influence. Just a curiosity I have.

The message has to get to the people though. One need only look at the fireworks between the Sander's crowd and the Establishment. They're still blaming each other for the Clinton loss. The Alt Left refuses to go back into the bottle. Neither side will yield at this point.

New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez's corruption trial is putting Senate Democrats in a bind.

His fellow Democrats are eager to avoid the subject of Menendez's bribery trial, hoping that he is exonerated and then he can focus on his 2018 reelection battle in the Garden State.

But there is fear inside Democratic circles that Menendez may get convicted and refuse to give up his seat, facing pressure to resign or an expulsion vote in the Senate. If the Democrat were to step aside while Gov. Chris Christie remains office, the Republican would pick a replacement.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday declined to say if he would stand by Menendez if he's convicted. Instead, Schumer said simply that the New Jersey politician is putting up a "spirited defense" and deserves to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

"Sen. Menendez is issuing a spirited defense," Schumer said Wednesday. "We all believe in the presumption of innocence in this country, and Sen. Menendez is fighting very hard. And we respect that greatly."

Asked if he would continue to stand by Menendez if the New Jersey Democrat were convicted, Schumer ignored the question.
Democrats who face reelection in 2018 also are in an awkward position -- especially as prosecutors lay out the charges in a trial that could take weeks.

"We are a country of laws," said Sen. Joe Manchin, a Democrat from the red state of West Virginia, who faces reelection next year. "And I think people should just let this process go through before they come to judgment in any way shape or form."

Asked if he'd continue to stand by Menendez if he were convicted, Manchin declined to say, adding: "Whatever the verdict is we'll deal with it at that time."

Sen. Jon Tester, the Montana Democrat who also faces voters next year, also declined to comment, saying his attention has been focused on wildfires in his state.

"I haven't really been paying attention to the trial," Tester said.

Menendez is currently on trial for public corruption two years after charges were filed against the New Jersey politician and his alleged co-conspirator, Dr. Salomon Melgen.

New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez's corruption trial is putting Senate Democrats in a bind.

For the first time since the “Abscam” scandal 36 years ago, a sitting U.S. senator will go on trial for bribery on Wednesday in a federal courthouse. Bob Menendez, a Democrat from New Jersey, is accused of intervening with federal officials on behalf of a wealthy benefactor in exchange for lavish gifts, including luxury vacations and major political contributions.

....and that burn is NOT covered by the Affordable Care Act.

He had a big case of the sniffles yesterday. I wonder if that is covered?

American politics are no longer important as much of the world moves on to replace the indispensable nation with law instead of the usual
manufactured bullshjt of the privilaged structure. Canada needs a fukkin wall, a spiked and machine gun patrolled wall.
