Tell Trump to stay away from congressional baseball games, white churches, and country music shows with balconies.

The democratic process continues. For those who are disappointed that the rejection was so strong - 364 to 58 - rest assured that it will be raised again.

I've posted this before, but it bears repeating. According to Wiki,

"Most impeachments have concerned alleged crimes committed while in office, though there have been a few cases in which Congress has impeached and convicted officials partly for prior crimes."

"Impeachment is analogous to indictment in regular court proceedings; trial by the other house is analogous to the trial before judge and jury in regular courts. Typically, the lower house of the legislature impeaches the official and the upper house conducts the trial."

"At the federal level, Article Two of the United States Constitution states in Section 4 that "The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors." The House of Representatives has the sole power of impeaching, while the United States Senate has the sole power to try all impeachments."

The minimum requirements to impeach were not met.

Gives 'em something to do. Ain't like they're busy drafting legislation or nothing.

I think that everybody knew this attempt was doomed to fail. They still have to convince a lot of Republican Representatives. Whatever Meuller comes up with needs to be pretty damning. Trump might also do himself in with a stray Tweet it two but for the time being, his party is more-or-less behind him, still.

WOLF!!!...WOLF!...WOLF...Wolf...wolf...wool...woo...wo...w...

Don't shoot 'til you see the whites of their eyes, more like.

Its yuge win when only 58 senators vote to impeach you.

MF, no Senators voted to impeach Trump. Learn about the US government. The vote was held by the House of Representatives, not the Senate. It's no wonder people think you're a flake.

Congressman voted. Not Senators. Not the Ottawa Senators, or the kind you find in Washington.

"The House is one of Congress's two chambers (the other is the U.S. Senate), and part of the federal government's legislative branch. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states."

MF/Hoid likes to talk, but does not usually have a clue. I'll type slowly for you, MF.

To be impeached means that someone's integrity is called into question. In this case, President Trump. The lower house (The House of Representatives) draws up the article of impeachment. This means they indict the individual concerned.

The upper house (the Senate) judges its validity.

The underlining below is mine.

"At the federal level, Article Two of the United States Constitution states in Section 4 that "The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors. The House of Representatives has the sole power of impeaching, while the United States Senate has the sole power to try all impeachments."

There's so much fail in MF/Hoid.
