That 3 legged girl that started the DAPL protest put it best. (Paraphrased from a speech I saw on a show called Rise) "We could beat them if you put down the bottle or drugs for just one day."
I liked the comment/complaint of one of the organizers how people were just showing up with no food, shelter, and little money. They just expected to be taken care of.
It became a homeless camp.

I watched that episode of Rise again yesterday on AhPTN.
Its not that they didnt have validity in their claims. They lost because they got violent.

That's basically the MO of these lobby groups... The actual cause is secondary to an opportunity to rage and express angst at something.
