Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Those figures would only be accurate if every country was recording coronavirus - or supposed coronavirus - deaths in the same way, when clearly they aren't. The British media likes to tell us how Britain's deathrate is the highest in Europe - but it isn't, isn't what the "official figures" reveal.

Those figures are completely meaningless and have no accuracy.

Although I do agree the panic is way out of control and we should have just kept on as normal.

Thanks, Girth, for proving me exactly right.

I thought it was standard knowledge that gays make up most HIV victims but not, it seems, amongst the Left.

My only point is so what? Does this mean we should not be working on a cure? Don't bother to answer. I already know your answer.

Fauci’s been looking for a vaccine since the early eighties and what’s he achieved, bupkis.

They haven't found a complete vaccine for the flu or for the common cold either. Some viruses may never have a vaccine. Let's hope COVID is a bit different.

I read close to 99.9% somewhere recently.

Yeah, in Cliffy's post.

U.S. Coronavirus Cases

Reported: 1,505,033
Closed: 427,380
Deaths: 89,511
Recovered: 337,869

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Even if you're so window-licking brain damaged as to do the ratio of deaths to reported cases, over a million of which have not resolved yet, it's still only a 94% recovery rate.

He’s been looking for a Vaccine for a virus that didn’t exist in until 2019 in the eighties?

You’re not only a yahoo but a drunk one as well.

The US has 4.25% of the world’s population. Yet you have 32% of the world’s COVID cases, and 28% of the world’s deaths.

The spread of the virus is also closely linked to travel. Part of the American success story is travel.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Re bailouts.

About half of the Amercan job losses are thought to be permanent. Meaning they are not coming back regardless. Meaning they were in the table prior to the pandemic anyway.

Enter Air Canada.

Why would the government bail out Air Canada when their business is clearly done. It is not coming back. People are simply not going to travel as they did in the past and that's a shame, but business is business and there is little point to bailing out a business that has little chance of ever coming back.

This is especially important to look at for the oil industry. Should we bail out a business that has very lttle prospect going forward.

What's the shame in it? Maybe it's time people got familiar with and enjoy their own "back yard" before flitting around the planet, creating more pollution.
