The US also has the population of Canada in just one state. 2/3 the population of ON in one city.

Thank God for a sparse population with sizable gaps in between cities. All that does is slow the peak but it will peak all the same.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Well, Walt is correct, sort of.
Trump never directly called the virus a hoax he said it was the Democrats new hoax.
You can take that for what it is.
Trump said the Dem's politicization of the virus was a hoax.

Not sure. Your argument is ours is better because of dense population in the states but they have several areas as sparsely populated as us and we have places with a high density populace. We agree that the most cases and deaths are in the densely populated areas.

I'm just saying we are doing better in those areas.

semantics semantics. The pint is that he minimized it for the first while and did not give it the attention he should have. He still acts like it is some inconvenience to the economy .....which is his first priority. He is a money oriented person in a job that requires a people (broad ) oriented person. His pathetic press conferences are an embarrassment , but more important cannot be relied on for facts. The staff around him.........are a bit better. For goodness sake he is incoherent. He rambles as if he has some kind of brain damage. He confabulates for the same reason. He is very afraid and vulnerable.......and that is probably why he is so angry and projects his rage at others so often.

Are we? Does anywhere in Canada come close to the density of Manhattan (25,846/km²) where it's the epicenter in the US?

we also have a much better medical system ........and when that kind of infraa structureis in place it is easier to manage these kind of crisis..........not saying it is easy.

It seems very childish to make comparisons like that..............the numbers are bad enough.

the critical thing is that EVERYONE follows the prescribed protocol... stop being greedy, show some compassion, and patience . This is not a time for egos.

When the US and Canada learned it was too late in early January, why werent you told it was too late to stop it? Would you have wanted to know? Would you tell everyone or try to mitigate outright panic?

even Americans think our medical system is better. Everyone has coverage while not everyone can even afford coverage in the US.

Interesting that YOU think the system is a joke.........when there are so many countries where the situation is bloody dire.

could be improved?? of course it can.

Death rate is still lower.

4000 cases - 39 deaths.

80,000 cases - 1500 deaths.

It's about half the rate.

Unless I screwed up the math which is entirely possible.
