We are being very cautious here, although I don't think the numbers are all that great, but we've already seen how quickly things can change if we let our guard down. Better to err on the side of caution.

How do you know that? You have a crystal ball or something? Bonnie Henry probably doesn't even know what will happen in October and even if she does, she's smart enough not to say anything!

There's one basic reason why it's a distinct possibility. Young people thinking they are smarter than Bonnie Henry and refuse to listen to her advise. How stupid can they get!

At one point, Manitoba had zero active cases, and the lowest number of COVID cases (per-capita), after New Brunswick. Now Manitoba has the most active Cases in Canada.
Meanwhile, Quebec and Ontario have been recording record lows of new cases, and Atlantic Canada has literally no new cases.

Yep even a confirmed case in Swan River a semi remote community just off the Sask. border

We need to worry about what will happen in the Winter, when all but a few people are mainly confined to indoor space. It's already been proven that COVID spreads much more rapidly in the indoors.
I'm worried about children and students returning to school.

The kids will be fine. Not exposing them to everyday pathogens may make things worse for them down the road.

We've known this for years and years already. Some researchers have stated "we are too clean" and the unneeded use of disinfectant may be making our immune system weaker.

I don't think the kids per se are the issue, it's the collateral damage to elderly teachers, grandparents and those in contact with compromised immune systems.

Lives come first in all circumstances. Once safety can be assured at a reasonable level, then steps can be taken to move ahead with programs.
