Yeah boycott Goodyear. Can you believe that? A sitting President calls for a boycott on a private company. And he calls for a boycott on a company located in a battleground state, during a pandemic that has seen millions of people lose their jobs. I wonder if Trump was even aware where Goodyear was headquartered before he had his temper tantrum on Twitter.

And yesterday when asked in his daily presser if he would have the Goodyear tires removed from the "Beast" and other Presidential vehicles should there be an available alternative, he said yes, that he would. I cannot believe how fragile his ego is.

I wonder if he had a rally in Akron today, where he's held a rally or two in the past, how that would go for him? Oh, speaking of rallies, employees of Goodyear in Akron had their own rally in response to Trump's call for a boycott:

Oh and then there's this which is the cherry:

A more appropriate statement would be hard to find! Deflate him!

Should probably have a peak at what is being offered as an alternative first. What I see don't look too good.

The Trump administration this week blocked the Food and Drug Administration from regulating a broad swath of laboratory tests, including for the coronavirus, in a move strongly opposed by the agency.

Call it the Con Artist Support Act of 2020.

I'm offering coronavirus tests. Only $9.99. All you need to do is give your credit card details and speak your name into the phone, and in 60 seconds or less, we'll tell you if you have the virus!

Even if the guy does nothing he can't possibly be any worse than Trump. The guy just lives to stir up shit!
That was the best thing anyone could say about Carter when he was Prez. He did nothing. Of course there are other people running for Prez besides Bidden and The Donald, so if the MSM actually reports on some of them there is a slim chance.

Not really much difference between that and our government pre-ordering vaccines from chosen suppliers before they even have one ready to sell. Get your vaccine here. and here.

$2,000 fines to be issued to enforce B.C. COVID-19 public health rules

https://globalnews.ca/news/7290723/...erNational&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=2020

just as well. There are some that simply don't get it ........after all this time. The y would rather take risks or spend time "debating" the pro and cons of mask weeing.........while people continue to get sick .....These resisters should take a trip to the morgue and get some real time information that is science and medical oriented. This is snot a game.

I would rather see a $50 fine for a first offense and 7 days in jail for the second. $2000 right off the bat will just tie up the appeals courts!

I wonder about that, nowadays you also get the option of just paying the fine or contesting it and THAT is what could tie up the courts.

Same as a speeding ticket, you can send the cheque, see the prosecutor or plead not guilty and have the trial. I'm not sure about BC, but traffic court is suspended here. It would be forever to collect any fine and yes there would be a backlog. I suspect a well argued case could be thrown out due to the defendant's right to a speedy trial.

I think $2000 right off the bat may be seen as heavy handed and 95% of them will be appealed where as $50 would be seen as reasonable and 95% would likely pay.

There would be no way I would pay $2000 off the bat. For that I would go to trial and risk the $50 added court costs. $50 might be enough to not waste my time on challenging.

but will they learn their lesson about taking the precautions ?? People KNOW what they should be doing........some just don't want to comply......So let them keep paying the fines. At this point, I have zero tolerance for that kind of irresponsible behavior. They can debate the mask wearing all they want..........as long as they wear the mask as required.

Why not simply follow the prescriptions and avoid all that BS. Wear the mask........it is not going to kill anyone.
