Just watching the news on Globull this morning an apparently the police killed a guy for not wearing a mask in a store. They at least had the good grace to follow him home and shoot him there.

SIU called in after OPP fatally shoots man, 73, following dispute over wearing mask in store

Ontario's police watchdog is investigating after officers fatally shot a 73-year-old man in Haliburton County on Wednesday morning.

The man had refused to wear a mask and assaulted a grocery store employee before driving away, provincial police say.

Police were called to a Valu-Mart in Minden, Ont., just after 8 a.m., OPP Sgt. Jason Folz said.

Officers tried to stop the suspect's car, but they refrained "in the interest of public safety" before doing a follow-up investigation, Folz said.

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said the man drove away, and an officer saw the car and started following it for a short while. Based on the licence plate, officers made their way to a home on Indian Point Road, the SIU said.

2 officers fire guns, says SIU
Outside the home there was an "interaction," and two police officers fired their guns, the SIU said.

Folz said that after shots were fired, "additional resources" were brought to the area near Eagle Lake, by the village of Haliburton, about 215 kilometres northeast of Toronto.

The man was shot and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:47 a.m., the SIU said.

Folz said the victim was from the Eagle Lake area. He could not confirm if the man also had a weapon.......More

US/UK/Canada all accuse Russia of hacking covid research data

Two observations:

1. Of course they did. It's what they do.

2. I am not going to criticize them for it. Perhaps pandemic disease data and research should all be freely shared.

Something's amiss down there south of the 49. It's likely the only jurisdiction in the world where the likes of the present incumbent would be considered to have ANY chance at being re elected. :)
US has always said they are exceptional, the city on the hill.

Overdose fatalities reach new high in B.C.
Four months of back-to back increases as crisis in fifth year

B.C. has recorded another record month of drug-use fatalities – 175 in June compared with 171 in May.

The province has seen four months of back-to-back increases in deaths, “leaving behind grief and frustration while this public health emergency carries on into its fifth year," B.C. Coroners Service chief coroner Lisa Lapointe said.

We probably have to spend every cent available to lock the exporters and pushers away indefinitely. If we could reduce the drug problem by even 90%, virtually every other government expense would be reduced. Health, Insurance costs, police, property damage, domestic disputes, theft, murder etc. etc.

Today's COVID count:

For the USA: 73,311 new cases (a new daily record) with 962 deaths.

In Canada, the number of cases rose to 435, thanks to outbreaks in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The White House just announced the would forgo Science, and plan to open schools in one month's time.
That insane white house (aka Psycho version 2.0 )is getting more frightening all the time. They are not rational. There is no logic or sound reason there. All one has ins a lunatic at the top spinning various conspirator theories.........and LIES.

Trump missed his calling: instead of being POTUS.........he should just sell beans. and doing silly photo ops.......while the nation is under a major virus attack. Beyond reprehensible.

It is hard to believe what is really happening. Nightmare.

A mayor is being sued for recommending mask wearing. It is a sick believe it or not.

But there’s little evidence to suggest that the face masks worn by members of the public prevent people from being infected by breathing in the virus, says William Schaffner, a professor in the division of infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. "There really are no good, solid, reliable data.”

Yep. The virus is so small it’s akin to a mosquito being stopped by a chainlink fence.

Goes to show what a universal guaranteed income would do. It kills junkies dead.

Shit will hit the fan when CERB ends.

Crime is going to skyrocket.

Turns out no Wuflu cases can be traced to Trump's Mount Rushmore speech.
