Perhaps it is hatred for some people. But, I haven't seen anyone actually post something that the Big O did before the Nobel people decided to give him the prize. So with me, it isn't hatred, it is incredulity as to why they'd award him the Nobel. Research that.

Washington and Baghdad have agreed on a security agreement which calls for US combat troops to withdraw from Iraq by the middle of next year, and for all American forces to leave the country by the end of 2011.

I did, click the link and educate yourself. It's got noting to do with 11 days in office but keep thinking that,it's good for a laugh.
Laugh at it all you want. But it's foolish to award something based on that they SAY they will do something.

I just hope he can come close to living up to what they give him the prize for.

Then if the agreement is turned into something more than just an agreement, then he deserves the prize. I can make promises and agreements from hell to breakfast, but do I get a Nobel? lmao Talk is cheap. Results say something.
I will make the world a peaceful place. I expect to get the Nobel next year. roflmao

Maybe you should do a bit of research and see what the prize is actually about, heres a link that may explain it for you.

I'm getting a real laugh at how some folks are jumping on Obama and have no idea what the prize is about.
It's not even partisan, just downright hatred.

Hoyt Hilsman: Does President Obama -- and America -- Deserve the Nobel Prize?

From the Link above:

Ever since Barack Obama stepped out of obscurity onto the platform of the
Democratic National Convention in 2004 -- a powerful moment for all of us in
the convention hall and around the world -- Americans have stepped forward to
support this agent of change. The grassroots organization that turned out to
work hard for Obama -- and give money in unprecedented amounts -- is
testimony to both the symbolic power of hope and change. It is worth
remembering that this movement to change America did not begin when Barack
Obama took the presidential oath of office -- it has been underway for decades
and has only now reached its culmination with the Obama presidency.

My bad. I misunderstood the reasoning behind awarding this Prize, and thought it
would have been for something that someone would have had to have actually
accomplished before being nominated...or for something they'd actually done
themselves. I learned something new today.

Can someone please nominate me today? I've got a year to do something before
these Prizes are doled out again next.

Perhaps, but it is still a far cry from the schoolyard bully image that USA projected during Bush years.

But what has changed? Nothing!

Again...both wars are ongoing, Guantanamo is still open, there is STILL an issue with Isrealis and Palestinians. Everyone who had nukes still has them and nobody is going to give them up and Iran is trying to make them.

IF Obama had solved all those I would think he deserved it. He's solved nothing.

So Europeans like him... is that worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize?

I guess so!

I would read that again Kakato. The plan still calls for troops to be in Iraq beyond 2011. Just not combat troops. I have a tough time believing that the US is just going to leave behind supply, admin, and cooks.

I allways found it ironic that the guy that invented dynamite and then WMD's started an award for peace.
*shrugs* People change. Atheists become religious and religious become atheist, men become women, etc.

"I read just now that the vote to award the prize to Obama was unanimous, not a single dissenting voice."

Seeing that anyone who is criticizing Obama for any reason whatsoever, is automatically labelled as a racist, the Nobel Committee members were willing to take no chance of ruined for life.

Not even in lily-white - but, alas, politically correct and socialist - Norway.

Isn't it ironic that the country that decides who gets the Nobel peace prize does this to intelligent beings:

Yep, declaring war on other intelligent life is sure peaceful.

EagleSmack, one thing HAS changed: While George W. Bush never saw the reason to apologize for America, this President has done nothing but, on the international scene.

Everyone like their a$$es kissed. It changes opinions worldwide.

How did she even get to be Miss Teen USA? Surely there were a few candidates a little less phsycally endowed but with a grain of intelligence......:roll:

LOL. She didn't get to be Miss Teen USA...but she was Miss Teen South Carolina. Her answer pretty much took her out of the running.

Something tells me she will do VERY well in life and not want for anything.
