If you have more than a fair share, are a member of the business community, have a higher than median income, enjoyed privilege and advantages all your life and want continued tax cuts for the wealthy,... chances are you vote Conservative.

Our present voting system enables a wealthy minority to dictate its self-interest to the majority of canadians, and to preserve that advantage, Conservatives have been trained to disparage any talk of a coalition. In political parlance this is called "Framing the Issue". And if you care nothing about democracy and the will of the majority and have almost unlimited campaign funds chances are you will be able to continue to corrupt the majority will...which is.... 70% CANADIANS DO NOT WANT A CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT.

I urge all Canadians who do not support Harper and the Tapeworms to convince the other political parties to REFRAME the issue and run on the promise of a coalition. If the Greens, the NDP and the Liberals can agree to only run 1 person as a COALITION candidate in only a handful of ridings it can tip the balance in favour of the majority.

Any subsequent government would be better.

What I find disappointing is those who blame a government or political party for their own short comings in life.

Please, please, PLEASE run on the promise of a Coalition that includes, as a major partner and Helmsman, the Bloc Quebecois.

We need a Conservative majority, and that strategy by the opposition would guarantee we got it.

Most Canadians are not so stupid as to vote for any party that would wind up being controled by Quebec separatists. You might just as well vote for the Bloc.

The Bloc Quebecois is a party that desires, in fact has as its only reason for existence, the complete destruction of the nation of Canada. IOn any Coalition they would be a major factor, as the NDP and Liberals will not take enough seats for a majority, and the Bloc will be the second-largest party in any coalition.....either officially, or behind the scenes.

What part of that don't you understand?

Luckily, as shown so clearly in the polls during the last coalition threat, the majority of Canadians understand how stupid it would be to offer the separatists power in Ottawa.

If you want to keep labelling people as either Con or Lib instead of their party you'll end up with just two parties in a country that is extremly lopsided on the Con to Lib ratio.

You would have to cherry pick your numbers to come up with something that stupid. Aprox 30% of eligible voters didn't even bother to vote last election and of those that did you would have to add them all together to say that 70% don't vote conservative. But then you get about the same number that don't want a Liberal government either and even more that don't want a dipper.
Besides which the rich have traditionally supported a Liberal government over the last 100 or so years. Mostly because the Libs have been better at giving kickbacks.

What you got against government union workers?

How these conservative mouth pieces can argue that a coalition representing 70% of voting canadians would be in any way worse than a government that only represents 30% is illogical, stupid and a bold faced red-herring lie.

And even if the Bloc were somehow involved, by no stretch of the imagination would the separation of Quebec ever occur because today the concept is at about 25% popularity in Quebec itself....and the ratio is getting smaller.

You're kidding right? Civil service doesn't pay jack **** and there are no big buckets of cash passed around. If you want a mediocre life with little to gain by all means get yourself a government job.

Okay, I admit.

It is a glaring fault of mine.

I can only stomach fools for a very short time, a time frame inversely proportional to the vastness of their vacuity.

Polaris, you got about 17 milliseconds.

Now listen carefully.....I'll put it in terms you can understand.

Run Gilles, Run. See Pierre run to Jacques and Michel.........bow Jacques and Michel, bow.

Bow, Jacques et Michel, bow.

See Jacques and Michel give Gilles all their toys, so Gilles will play with them.

Run Gilles Run.

Run back home.

See Gilles run home.

See Gilles show off all his toys.

See all Gilles children cheer and cheer. Gilles is a hero!

We must follow Gilles.

We will play follow the leader! Lead us, Gilles.

See Gilles lead all the children right out the door.

Run Gilles run.

No Colpy. It IS paranoia.

I'm not that cute.....and where is his FAL?????

A fool is only someone who doesn't agree with your point of view. Your fascination with Harper and his merry band of right wing loons is foolish from where I stand. So is your paranoia of the Bloq. Gilles knows where his bread is buttered and in no way will even attempt to split off Quebec. You have little to no understanding of the Quebecois. You have been living in Canada's ghetto for too long.
