I'm still not convinced the whole thing isn't contrived for publicity.

N. Korea may well have said It's an act of war. If the threats are legitimate, then it's not just Sony Pictures that's capitulated to these demands. It's the entire USA and Canada. There are N. Korean terrorists on US and Canadian soil who have the ability to enforce through violence it's demands. It seems highly suspect. doesn't it?

Nah... you can't blame the U.S and Canada for giving in. It was Sony and Hollywood.

I mean Obama gave in to the Castro's yesterday but this latest capitulation is all on Sony and Hollywood.

The N. Koreans demanded Sony pull the picture and Sony laughed. Then the N. Koreans exposed one of their top liberal execs of being a racist and she now has to shell out big bucks to Sharpton and Jackson to keep her job. That and other exposures caused Sony to cower before the might of Kim Jong-Un!!!

Cowards one and all!

It's really pathetic to see such a cowardly capitulation. I've never had much respect for the moral character of corporations, who rationalize any act of malefaction and cowardice as justified in 'protecting shareholder interests'. But this is new low.

Since the film seems to be a write off at this point in any case, the most constructive avenue would be to release the film free of charge on the internet. It would get a huge audience.. many times what its relatively poor advance reviews would have elicited at the box office or pay per view, most of whom would look at it just to send a message to Kim Jong-un.. to stuff his keyboard up his fat @$$

Does anyone actually want to see this movie? I mean, sure, 'poo poo' on Sony for capitulation and what not, but frankly it looked like a rather dumb film to me.

Probably it was a dumb film.

Nevertheless they made Sony cave in. The N. Koreans were just shown how weak Hollywood is.

Maybe they'll get Sony to make movies about how awesome Kim Jong-Un is.... or else.

Hadn't read this?

Amy Pascal is a top Sony exec and liberal democrat donor. After Sony initially scoffed at the threats from N. Korea the N. Koreans started releasing what they hacked. They found out from an email that Amy Pascal was mocking President Obama and is a racist.

That touched off a firestorm from the Sharpton & Jackson camp to which Amy Pascal had to reach out to and start the "healing process". Sharpton said her apology is not enough and that she must apologize in person. Now we all know that means.... she must go to him and write a HUUUUUGE check... then the healing process begins. lol....I love it.

Right, and if Sony went ahead and said **** you Kim, and released this turkey, and some patriotic little North Korean with a few pounds of his favorite explosive taped to his chest blows up the few homeless folks that just came in to get warm, and flattens the theatre. How long would it take all you folks that are beating your chests and calling Sony yellow to start suing everyone connected because they were warned and went ahead anyway because they were so greedy and didn't care about peoples lives.
Never underestimate the rights stupidity.

it's a wonderful feeling not to care about this so-called 'movie', the second rate idiots in it, what it's about and who it makes mad.

not as good as the cool side of the pillow but none the less.

one week 'til Christmas and all's well.
