What is a lukewarm Christian?
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked." (Revelation 3:15-17 NIV)
The message above is addressed to a congregation in Laodicea during the early church period. The city of Laodicea was located in a valley between mountains and hot springs. The city imported water from these two locations for its own use. By the time the ice cold snow water from the mountains or the steaming hot spring water from the springs reached Laodicea, they were both lukewarm.
A lukewarm (Christian) is spiritually bereft, shying away from the grace and truth of Christ, "having
a form of godliness but denying its power." (2 Timothy 3:5 NIV)
Has anyone approached the topic of demons yet? I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion on them. Whether they believe in them or not.I spoke to a Jehova Witness a few months back, who believed that the bad things of this current era were because of the presence of demons.

Lukewarm is better than a hot-as-hell fanatic.
In the text, Spade, lukewarm is rejected:
"So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." (Revelation 3:16 NIV)
