I hope someone beats her for the leadership, I can't handle another four years of Nasal Elmo.
This is only from three months ago…
There can be no other rational explanation for why the former finance minister is sticking around. None.

Having fired a rocket directly at Justin Trudeau first thing Monday morning, she has now cleared the way for a run at the Liberal Party leadership.

And, make no mistake, she fired that rocket right at Trudeau’s credibility, and left his claims to be a “feminist” and a prudent administrator in tatters, ‘cuz it’s 2015-ish.

“Miiiiister Speeeeeker, let me not answer a single direct question while still being extremely condescending and arrogant simultaneously.” This is from only six months ago, while Freeland was still Finance Minister & KNEW what the deficit was, but surely wasn’t going to mention that.
(Unsurprisingly above, Trudeau isn’t there)

I wonder what this will look like tomorrow?
Freeland’s Dear Justin letter notwithstanding, Freeland’s freefall was relevant not because she’s become an eleventh-hour convert to fiscal probity (she hasn’t) or that, having been a key member of a government that is itself a “costly political gimmick,” she now objects to same (she doesn’t). She’s the same as Trudeau. Always has been.

Trudeau got elected three times.
I Know. Who the hell voted for him anyway? just sayin...
I figure nobody. The elections were STOLEN!
Well…most in the West (GVA excepted) still remembered Papa Trudeau, so they actually listened to what Jr Trudeau was saying. That might be what Dixie is sayin…

The 2025 Canadian federal election will take place on or before (hopefully looong before) October 20, 2025, to elect members of the House of Commons to the 45th Canadian Parliament.

The date of the vote is determined by the fixed-date provisions of the Canada Elections Act, which requires federal elections to be held on the third Monday in October in the fourth calendar year after the polling day of the previous election, though a current government bill proposes to postpone the date to October 27, 2025 to golden parachute the pensions of most Liberals & NDP MP’s that’ll be adding to Canada’s unemployment statistics.
