It is slowly happening . There are Tesla charging stations popping up in small towns throughout Southern B.C. One of the guys I was stuck with worked for the competition as a technician , he is out of town 5 days a week preforming regular maintenance and says they have stations popping up everywhere . The government have been installing chargers at more and more rest areas .Not likely - if they keep killing oil pipelines to reduce fuel consumption and rely totally on wind & solar, there's nothing that will support the change at this time and likely not for a few decades. But we'll learn the hard way & will suffer the consequences just like California does now with it's blackouts. Something to look forward to....
We still have last gas for 150 klicks signs .As somebody who actually remember "Last Gas For 250 Miles" signs, I actually know infrastructure develops over time.
The More You Know. . .
It's a start. But the supply has to keep up with the demand. Solar and wind alone won't keep up, right now anyways. Maybe they will figure out some magic source for all this electricity needed by 2028, kind of doubt it though. It is slowly happening . Most of our hydro power is government owned. But a lot of the run of river hydro projects are owned by various bands. I don't know what the % is.Um, don't the "eco freaks" want that to cease as well? Hydro electric power is racist isn't it? Just askin....
