If you'd like to debate some facts here, then go ahead. I was just commenting on the rhetoric. Even if he was spewing absolute bullcrap, it's delivered with a level of grace that to this day is unparalleled. You can't deny the fact that he at least makes the effort to appear bi-partisan. And he's the only politician that's clearly outlined the intention that the Democrats and Republicans should be working together instead of playing hungry hungry hippos like you guys do.

Aside from that, it's pretty clear that the Republicans are wrong on quite a few contentious issues.

The economy is in a state of transition and will take a couple more years to recover. This has been the plan since the beginning. That Republicans complain about the economy recovery now, is naive at best. That they complain about a worsening economy due to this administration is also patently false as the stimulus has guaranteed significant job creation.

On "Don't ask, don't tell" there are a few Republican senators that get it right, but they are still overwhelmed by a sea of homophobia.

On transparency, the ultimate hypocrisy is played out. The Republicans/Tea Party are all about diluting federal power and letting the states manage the constitution. And yet, they don't want to reveal where federal dollars are being put. And people trust that on a whim? That's laughable. There's your 1984 Gitmo nation right there, lol.

And lastly, but more importantly - Republicans don't have a plan. I would give them some cred if they actually had an effective and pragmatic solutions to boosting the economy or repealing healthcare, but they don't. They don't have a plan, they just want to revert back to former protocol on those issues. Protocol that objectively did not work.

They have a lot of work to do these Repubs, if they believe that the current administration is on the wrong track. They can complain all they want, but it's scantly backed up by any suggestion for improvement. That just doesn't fly for the educated public. Sorry.
The republicans are awash in a sea of hypocrisy, homophobia and their own rhetoric. They have no ideas to bring to the table so they shout and scream "Nazi", "Communism" and "freedom" when it was they who took away "Freedom" with the patriot act and made the US an Nazi state. The thing they count on most is that all their ranting will sway the majority of stupid people who are patriotic without a thought of their own, who have no idea what is really going on.

Wow, are you ever full of hate. Please have a drink and relax. Did the rebubs kill your family, or something worse?

No, just calling them as I sees them. If anybody is full of hate it is the tea baggers and the right wing loons.

Cliffy is absolutely left.
No, I'm still here.

I suppose being an anarchist is left of left. Politics is a fools game, a movie they play to convince the deluded that they have some rights, that their vote counts when in fact you only have the right to chose which puppet the ruling class chooses to rule over you. Democracy is an illusion.

You mean like the way he opened Obamacare to sincere and thoughtful debate? O wait, it was deemed, I forgot. Nevermind.

lol I've never met an anarchist who wouldn't be food within the first few days of real anarchy.

Darn post merging.

In all fairness, Christine O'Donnell is far better prepared to be a Senator, than Obama ever was to be President.

Furthermore, while it is possible that - if elected - she could and would learn on the job, while seeing how stubburn and obtuse Obama is, that is impossible to hope for.

Sure thing Jack. Glad you would vote for a president who doesn't even know the constitution, lol

Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell, who has said she would make decisions in Washington based solely on the Constitution, suggested in an interview today that she doesn't believe the founding document calls for a separation between church and state.

"Where in the Constitution is separation of church and state?" an incredulous O'Donnell asks her Democratic opponent, Chris Coons. The audience is heard laughing in the background. "Let me just clarify, you're telling me that the separation of church and state is found in the First Amendment?"

"Government shall make no establishment of religion," Coons responds.

"That's in the First Amendment," O'Donnell says.

Later, O'Donnell was asked if she would support repealing the 14th, 16th and 17th amendments. She knew the 17th Amendment, but could not remember the others. "I'm sorry, I didn't bring my Constitution with me… Fortunately, senators don't have to memorize the Constitution. Remind me of what the other ones are."

Northern Ontario,
I wonder if she just got confused like a lot of people are with the name "Constitution" and " the bill of rights" which is in fact the first ten amendments of the constitution...???
Some might refer to it as the first bill of rights....???

At least she never insisted, like your false idol, that America has 57 states.

And - again - unlike your false "god" she never needed a teleprompter to take breath.

Poor Jack. It's gotten so bad that you are actually defending a politician who doesn't even know the constitution. Kind of silly to munch on the party line so fervently when even bad republicans are good republicans to you. I bet if someone asked her about nullifying the 10th amendment, she wouldn't even know why.

mentalfloss, your god, Obama knows the Constitution so well, that he is willing to falsify it at every chance he's got. He pretends to dazzle his sycophants by "quoting" The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, etc. always conveniently omitting words from them, that he vehemently hates, because he does not know the meaning of. You know, like "Creator" and "God". Safe to say, that if it was "Allah" he would be repeating it time and time again.

BTW, there is nothing in the U.S. constitution that reads: 'separation of church and state'.

Government making 'no law respecting an establishment of religion' is widely accepted to signify a separation of church and state. This is both on a federal and local basis. In fact, the Supreme Court makes explicit reference to that separation in association with the first amendment.

Which is extremely ironic, because, if you recall correctly in that earlier debate, O'Donnell couldn't come up with one solitary issue had with the Supreme Court. One would think that a principle that she is so staunchly against - the separation of church and state - which is also the same principle promoted by the Supreme Court, would move her to bring that up. I guess not -- despite the fact that one of her 'constitutional beliefs' is that the educational system should be teaching creationism. Well, I'm sure glad she stands for something: a stupid contradiction.

Whatever. If you want to put faith in someone that dumb, that's your loss.

Fine and dandy, mentalfloss, but I am still waiting for you addressing the fact that your god, Obama willfully and callously falsified - by obvious omission - the documents America was based upon, and he has the unmimitigated nerve to claim that he is an expert, you know, professor of.

Compared to this phoney, Christine O'Donnell is a genuine article of honesty.

Please expand on this. I'm not responding to fluff.
