All the gov't money and hype and this is the result. Most things gov't has a hand in turn to crap. Should have left the private sector alone.

How many is that?Interesting. In this weeks MacLeans the article states that GM can't produce the Volt fast enough to meet demand.
Yeah, because GM was doing so well before the government got involved. All the gov't money and hype and this is the result. Most things gov't has a hand in turn to crap. Should have left the private sector alone.

GM beta tested electric cars in California ages ago and destroyed all the cars after the test. When did Wheels get into Partisan Politics?
In fairness to GM the Volt is a first generation electric car which is bound to have issues. I think they're moving in the right direction. We better start embracing this technology, fossil fuel will be a thing of the past.

When did Wheels get into Partisan Politics?
Earlier this year, after a drive around Toronto, I called the Volt my car of the year. Six months later, my opinion hasn’t changed. Let’s hope for GM’s sake that more people start to feel the same way.

I didn't see anything partisan in that article at all. Chevy had a problem with batteries that were not serviced after crash tests and an improperly installed charging station caused a fire, their engineers are looking into it, a Toyota sales rep compares the reaction to that Toyota received for their engineering shortcomings, sales are lagging GM projections, they call the Volt a competetive car in it's price range after rebates, the car rates higher than Porsche 911 and the Dodge Challenger in owner satisfaction, and to finish off the article:
What is partisan about that? I think it's clearly partisan that Walter put this in the climate change sub-forum and somehow turned this into a problem related to government. That's just retarded, he must be reading a different article.
When they offer a 3/4t 4x4 with an 800km range I'll be interested.Yes I know, but unlike then, I think this will become the norm and the technology will be adopted by the driving public.
When they offer a 3/4t 4x4 with an 800km range I'll be interested.
Talk about a large environmental footprint, lol.I have driven a 6X6 with a 1200 km range, but of course it had two 1000 litre fuel tanks
Did you read my response or just assume that I was agreeing with Walter's stance?
Yes, I even gave a run down of my reading from the article, which I didn't find partisan at all. What parts did you find partisan?

I said I wanted a truck.GM does make the Sierra as a hybred though
